If the kid wants pink or purple, let her have pink or purple! She'll outgrow the quilt for sure (it's adorable, btw), and maybe the pink or purple, too, but in the meantime, let her pick what she wants. How would you like to live in a room you didn't like? I sound like an old crab here, and really I'm not. But I always let my kids "decorate" their rooms the way they wanted them, even when it wasn't exactly what I'd have done - not by a long shot! As for outgrowing pink, well, my 28 yo dtr has loved pink since the day she was born. She wears it, lives in it, works in it, would have bought a pink car if she'd found one. She's a wonderful, girly, professional woman, so pink hasn't hurt her in the least. You should have seen some of the pinks on her walls when she was growing up!

@nuppal I still like the gray better… Especially in light of your countertops and the fireplace… And I looked up your color on Pinterest and I saw that color walls with different colored wood floors and I thought it looked nice. But as another poster said it’s all a personal preference. I personally don’t like beige walls so I guess I’m biased! Haha But the new house we’re building has wood floors and gray walls and is the Joanna Gaines type style… And its similar to yours and that we have the white quartz countertops with the gray marbling and I have white cabinets in my kitchen and white builtins in my living room. Most of our walls are gray… Different shades of gray (Mostly with blue undertones because that’s what I like).

Sherwin Williams Hale Navy and Naval are two of the most popular blues I’ve seen used in islands...so my guess would be one of those.

You have a lot of different beige/gray neutrals going on (2 floor colors, counters, backsplash). I would probably go with the color that is on the fireplace wall for the entire space or another gray green and paint the entertainment center Hale Navy. Green is mother natures favorite color. Gray green won't make the beiges go too yellow like a blue gray will and will work with the navy cabinets.
