Will it not fit where the current microwave is shown?

I’m want to have something like this but as per builder it won’t fit there

Hello, Rups. I like your idea of having the microwave next to the refrigerator. Have you considered an over-the-counter microwave? Similar to an over-the-range microwave except no vent fan. (It is less deep than built-in ovens such as those in our photograph.) You can also get a GE countertop spacemaker microwave with a trim kit.

You need base drawer cabs . Not cabs w side hinges as you show. You need a slightly smaller sink base cab and a single bowl sink . After that change get a microwave drawer under counter either left or right of sink . Your kitchen is smallish . Maximum storage these days requires drawers and microwave drawer is one less appliance to look at sitting at eye height or taking up counter Space.

I'd put the MW in the upper next to the fridge and dedicate that little alcove to snacks/coffee pot.

I don't know how much latitude you have with other features in the kitchen, so I'll make the suggestions, and you can ignore if not feasible. First, ask for in-swing on the pantry door, or even better, a slider/pocket door, so the door can be left open during prep, without obstructing the work path.

I would move the DW to the end of the island (with a return panel or cabinet to support countertop), to provide a wider prep space to the right of the sink. If you still want a wall oven, put it next to the pantry wall, and use a dish hutch the same width to balance it on the other end. I agree with herbflavor--use as many drawer bases as the budget will allow.

Also, check the proposed work aisle width. Minimum should be 42", and at 9'7" total width, and with a 42" deep island, that will put your seating at the edge of the kitchen space.
