Depending on budget, I'd keep the two black chairs (if they're Ikea's Poang chairs, I know they're comfortable) because they're neutral and allow great flexibility. When you do a gallery wall, don't use those frames with multiple openings for snapshots or anything like that cluster you have now. Choose your very best candid shots; remember, this is your artwork so it should be compelling. You can create a cohesive gallery wall by framing all the photos the same, or by converting them all to black and white or sepia tone. It's pretty inexpensive now to have them printed on canvas and stretched. One of my favorite uses of family photos is this:There are some articles on Houzz about creating gallery walls. The trick is to keep your grouping tight, to vary the sizes and orientations of frames, and to arrange them in a way that creates balance and movement. Houzz doesn't seem to be working right now. I'm going to quit my browser and return....See MoreNeed help decorating dining room

Create your own story in your home. Just work on getting the scale right. In the living room, a long horizontal piece would work well. Approximately 2 ft less in length than the sofa itself. And can fill the wall 2 ft from ceiling or less. These are just estimates for scale to help you avoid buying art that is too small for your spaces. Finally, resist the urge to fill up all your walls. Be strategic....See MoreI need help to decorate my living room ?!!! plz help

Comments (3)You definitely need some art and/or wallpaper (I usually do not recommend wallpaper because I do not want to deal with it)! The room looks too boring and just needs some punches of color. Since your rug has some blue in it, I would play up the blue in art and wallpaper along with a cabinet displaying china or ceramics in blue! Here are a couple of my favorite dining room photos from Houzz (I love blue because that is the color of my dining room)!...See Morejck910
