I like them but the shape of your gallery pictures should mimic the shelves next to them. More vertical then horizontal. IMO

I would definitely use black frames.

The black frames are a big improvement. I think the whole grouping should be lowered from the original pic.

I like the taller than wide image, but I think the layout is fine as is.

The room is lovely. The entire wall as a whole is large. It's almost all the same color on that entire wall. I would like some depth. Inside the book shelves you could paint the back walls of the shelves the same color as the grey tiles behind the wet bar to carry your eye upwards. Then try adding a few black accents, books, or frames. The glass pieces are small in proportion to the area and disappear. The gray background may help them pop. Think to decorate each shelf, and each shelf tells a story that also plays off the entire group of shelves as a whole. Are the number of shelves and position of them pleasing to you ? Would you want to add a third shelf or make the existing two shelves closer to the same size? They look like they were made for a piece of art a certain size.
Also my eye wants the measurements checked on the spacing between the frames of the photos. To achieve a professional look spacing must be spot on. I'd give you an option to rearrange the motif. The current arrangement is a copy of the shelves. Try laying out on the floor first until you find the arrangement that is a good complement to the shelves. I added a sketch of a different idea. I also see one of the smaller frames is slightly larger than the other small frames. The fact becomes evident when placed in a line of frames the same size. That is one reason I would move and pair that larger, small frame with one of the larger pictures. This is a very rough sketch of what I'm suggesting. Good Luck.

I know you didn’t ask, but sometimes I see things a bit differently and like to suggest...just in case. In looking at your room as a whole, I think it needs more impact on the walls, as there are only small prints. Behind couch is the perfect spot to add a large piece of art to bring in color, interest and warmth (and to ground wall). I’d adjust shelf so they are evenly spaced and accessorize to compliment the art, so entire wall becomes a coordinated backdrop. Move your collage to staircase area.

Suggest adding some extra color coordinated cushions to pull the room together.

I suggest you step way back, take a look at the entire wall as one big work of modern art, like you might see in an art museum. Your wall has 3 blocks of interest that I think should end up having approximately the same dimensions, and harmonizing.

So either space out the framed photos so that they form a block roughly the same size as the other two blocks

OR

use paint or wallpaper to create the right-sized background "frame" behind the existing arrangement. Or create one big circle behind your framed prints, which might be quite nice.

If you don't want to make a new background for your photos, definitely consider stronger-statement frames, but I wouldn't limit myself to only black. Consider a color, or more than one color, so you could have one color frame at each corner, and maybe you could keep the metal frames for the rest. Or instead of plain frames, consider frames with lots of interest.

Then consider how you want the other two "blocks" on that wall to harmonize. Maybe paint the upper railing something other than white? Or "antique" it? Do you actually need to look out over that balcony rail? I might suspend something triangular above the rail. Take a look at the flip side of this, for the more muted colors:

Finally, for the lower left block, maybe you'd like to paint the interior cabinet, or wallpaper the interior< and put objects inside with strong forms (or faces) on the shelves? -Or consider painting an "X" on the back wall of the each cabinet, or a circle in each. (Or try mirrors back there and then add a fab drinks display, with great glasses and silvery stuff?

You could print out the first photo you have posted here, several copies of it on plain paler, then use crayons to figure out what kind of big 3-part design you might like to live with.

I agree with the suggestion for sofa pillows with graphics, but I would mix in a couple with bolder graphics, or maybe even some solids whose shapes are actual triangles or circles. .

I think the gallery wall works better in a hallway or bedroom.

i like the idea above with a larger piece of graphic art, and some colorful pillows. The whole room and the artwork/frames are the same color... zing it up!

@Coastal Cocoon Homes & Design, LLC Thank you SO much for your thoughtful response. I really love some of your ideas! I did a (very quick) mock up in Paint. I added another shelf above the bar, and made the back wall gray. I'm also playing with using fewer, larger frames for the gallery. What do you think of this layout? And would you do black metal frames or a gray / dark wood frame, maybe?

Also, for above the bar we were planning on decorating the shelves with barware (glasses, decanters etc.). But i like the idea of adding in other "bookshelf" type décor. Do you have any advice here?

Do you like the look of the fewer, larger frames that I mocked up above? It closer resembles a large piece of art. I would still like to decorate the bar shelves with more interesting book shelf pieces like you suggest. I would like to stay more cool, neutral, minimal in this space. Our last home that we just moved from, had the mid century modern - boho(ish) vibe, like your photos. We're changing it up this time and going with a more traditional look (for now!).

I like the mock up much better and shelves as well. Nice room!

For what it's worth, while I think you could successfully include a few non-beverage and snacks related items on the shelves above the sink, I do the faucet defines the area as a bar service area, and it will look odd if the clear majority of the shelf items don't relate to that function.

Just wanted to say that I think you've done a wonderful job laying out and positioning your gallery wall. I'm usually not a fan of them, but I like how you've done yours. I do think darker frames would help it be more visible. Love @BeverlyFLADeziner's mockup with the dark frames.

I also think styling the shelving above your wet bar will help immensely in making the wall look more finished. Three shelves does seem more balanced than the current two shelves.

@bebe20 Thank you! We used Benjamin Moore White Dove, baseboards to ceiling, in the entire house! We had some crazy colors to cover up so I wanted to start with a blank canvas and add color from there. After a year, I kind of love the all white look as it is :)

The black frames would have more impact and tie into your lighting and drapery hardware. It would be nice to add more interest to the back of the shelves in the bar cabinet, "Olive Branch Charcoal" wallpaper (its peel-able) by Joanna Gaines sold through home depot could be pretty. It might be interesting to paint your Juliette balcony railing (only stiles and top rail) black as well, a little bold but would tie in beautifully with your light fixture. The black would be carried over the whole wall but in small proportions. Two pillows at each end of your sectional and three in the middle would be all that you would need. Including pattern and texture to your pillows and throw would add more dimension to your sectional. It is a beautiful room!

One thing I have learned it that the rooms look different in person, so that said, I would consider all frames black around the room. I love gold, yet against white and thin frames they tend to wash out in photographs. You will know if that's a good idea for YOU.

The photo display looks right. See how many different ways the motif can be displayed?

I read someone posted to paint the rails, I like that suggestion too.

You could add a down spot accent light on each side of shelves. The light will reflect off the glass. Dimmers are great.

Shelf diplay is an art, I always tell people what we all learned on "Sesame Street"; group like thing together. It looks balanced now with the extra shelf. I love the mock up of the paint too.

Someone mentioned pillows. This is where you can have fun and add your personality. I'd like to see texture there. I love big pillows to curl up with on the sofa. The gray pillows look matchie matchie from the sofa company. Again may look different in person.
