Yes I do. I have 2 metal lawn chairs with vinyl white and green strapping. Part of a set I bought over 20 years ago. The chairs were fine but the plastic straps were disgusting. I debated on whether to throw them out but couldn't see throwing out 2 perfectly good chairs. Last spring I bought a bottle Lestoil. It was something we used on our trailer to get rid of the grime. I used it right out of the bottle--just put some on a wet rag and attacked them. You wouldn't believe how clean they came. I rinsed them off with the hose and voila--2 extra lawn chairs that I wouldn't be ashamed to have anyone sit in.

We got what I think was a great bargain on a 7-piece patio set at Sams yesterday. The table has a granite top and the chairs are cast aluminum. The set is very nice looking as well as very well constructed. We paid $899 + tax. The reason I think it was so inexpensive is because I believe the manufactured may be going out of business. My set was missing a piece and the 800 number to call in the instructions was no longer in service. I went back to Sams and they gave me the missing piece off the display model. Anyway, for those who are willing to take a chance on no warranty or service after the sale, I think you can get a good deal. The only real down side is that it is very heavy. IÂm guessing the tabletop weighs around 300 lbs. Beeman

Most of the time the patio furniture outfits make a run for the year. The same thing will not be found the next year. That's why you see a lot of them out on the curb on big junk day. If yours are worth the effort find a custom business to make you new ones.

Hi- I would highly recommend getting this book at the library. It's Christopher Lowell's You can do it! Small Spaces. In fact, the sample rooms he shows are from mobile homes (Trailers) so he had very little space to work with. One point he made is you don't want pick such small furniture that you get a dollhouse effect, or that no one is comfortable. I've heard others mention this idea too. I think having furniture that's multi-functional, like using an ottoman as a coffee table/seating is very functional, or a coffee table with storage. Most of the houses in my neighborhood are the size of yours. Chris Lowell also rails against the loveseat for small spaces, because he claims unless people are really close (friendly/intimate) to one another, the loveseat is pretty much comfortable for one person and wastes a lot of space. He recommends club chairs instead. We also have some great used furniture stores around that carry used and older furniture- you might want to look into this. I usually look for stuff at these stores, since there's one especially where you can get great deals, so I haven't experienced the problem of too big of coffee tables. Some of these stores are more for antiques, so just look around to see if you can find one that's in your price range. Craigs list has good furniture listings too. I've found that Salvation Army and Goodwill often is expensive for furniture that's in bad shape compared to David's furniture (the store I like- they know how to refinish furniture and it's in a lot better shape)
