A 7 foot vanity - one centered sink - Help with mirror!
Comments (4)The sink will be a standard oval undermount (white) on granite. I will not have any "sit down space". The cabinets are standard height (not extra high) since I'm short. I've ordered these lovely sconces on line (Ovation by Tech Design). They are "funky" but have the brushed nickel with what they call Tahoe Pine Amber glass. With such a large space, I'm wondering more abut the dimensions of the mirror. Is the 15 x 35 size working well? I was wondering how something like a 26 x 40 would look? I'd also like it to be a framed mirror... Suggestions?...See MoreWindow not centered over sink?
Comments (7)We lived in an older home where the window was centered between the sink and dishwasher. I kept thinking the sink must have been moved to allow for a built in dishwasher at a later date (because why would you do that??) until I saw the blue prints. Asymmetry in certain settings really bugs me, such as that kitchen. Every time I looked at it, it bugged me more. (It could have been a cumulative effect, as that kitchen had many issues!) I'm just really compulsive that way, and realize it. However, your pleasure at having a view while eating may make you happy every time you sit there. Going with your gut is good advice. You'll know where you spend more time, and where the view will mean more to you....See MoreKitchen sink centered over 3 cabinet doors?
Comments (7)I understand what you mean and think it looks fine over the 3 doors. However, herbflavor's point is excellent - your idea doesn't seem like it will work unless you are replacing your countertop. Shifting the sink to the right as shown in the pic will leave you with space in the cutout area on the left-hand side of the sink. Or, maybe that's just a photoshop thing and you will actually not be shifting it to the right, but it will just extend another 4" to the right. That would probably look ok too - so it would extend just another 4" into the single door area. But it won't be centered over the 3 cabs that way. Will it? Additionally, the side of the cabs (the right side of the one with the double doors and left side of the single door one) would have to be cut down to accommodate the sink. Easiest solution would probably be to get a smaller sink, but I don't think it would look funky to have it over 3 cabs....See MoreMirror not centered over sink bathrooms
Comments (6)You could get one big mirror and install sconces on top. Like this: https://www.houzz.com/photos/kara-weik-©-2012-houzz-traditional-bathroom-dallas-phvw-vp~1588585 But then you would lose the pretty mirrors. Is the middle sconce centered between the sinks?...See Morersgull
