I don't have a similar experience but I personally love the idea. Finding quality furniture is SO difficult. Not to mention the unique look that you want... I love your fabric! It is very hard to have a single seating are for more than 6 people. One can have multiple ares for larger crowds, but 6 is about the max in most rooms. One can gave a bench of extra dining room-like chairs to bring in. Why a bar? Most people like to fix their own drinks and a bar tray on a table or sideboard, with an ice bucket and water pitcher are all that is needed. True bars belong in basement rathskellers if one just must. Your layout is very awkward due to placement of the fireplace. Only 4 people can really be seated around it unless a sofa covers the widow and goes on out into the room. It's just awkward.

My kids are all grown and no grandkids yet - plus this is a vacation condo so I picture this table being used for holidays and maybe 2-3 other times a year. It's pretty much just me and hubby and we have a small kitchen table we eat at. I was just trying to think outside the box of matching furniture. :-) Actually, the colors are do go together pretty well, it's hard to picture when using stock photos. I also came across this photo and ironically, the two chairs in the back are very similar to the matching side chair and the rattan chairs are the pretty much the same. The difference I see here is the table and parson chair and cushions are all the same color. But a different visual than my mock up. lol

Thank oly chick for ur input.. I was thinking square or like rounded square or maybe an irregular shape because the sofa and chairs have rounded lines not completely round if that makes sense.. I will look again at suitable cylinder type tables.. but I feel like they wouldn't work for some reason. I agree the framework seems leggy..
