I just sold a Danish modern set on CL. Yours appears to be in better shape then mine, though: particularly the upholstery looks better. I touched up cosmetic things like scratches but didnÂt want to bother with things that were too difficult. You might not get back the value of the time spent on repairing it. If it really would take 2 days, what else could you do that you would value more? I would list it as it is first, with the price you hope to get for it. In your listing show any flaws in the pictures and describe any issues like the wobbly chairs. I would think most pieces on CL have SOME issues. No one expects a set to be showroom condition. Did you do a search on CL for similar sets to see what they are offered for? State the really good points of the set, and take good photos, so people can decide if those outweigh the problems. Yours has really nice lines, for example.

You are in the middle of a beautiful exciting time! I bet this same question on the GardenWeb Furniture forum would get you some source recommendations. I love finding a well loved used furniture bargain but I know how much time I have spent on that kind of hunt. I just checked Overstock.com .... I've seen in magazines recently furniture & accessories from there all really stylish and great prices. They ship internationally. Today there are not very many in your 96 inch length....I filtered for Rectangle shape. Most are about $200 but this one that is dark walnut finish (made of hardwoods and veneers, doesn't say what kind) is $720. I don't like the chairs with this one but on Overstock there are 100s of chairs. Good luck with your hunt. Living where you live maybe buying furniture online is for you. Years ago I bought my first couch & loveseat from a showroom in North Carolina over the phone. I talked to a design consultant on the phone and got the brand I wanted and chose the fabric from a local store that had it. The company I first used Furniturelandsouth is online and you could try shopping over the phone. They would send you links to 96 inch, espresso finish, rectangle tables, whatever parameters you say. What a great idea! I never even thought of wallpaper and slipcovers. I could do like two white slipcovers for two of the chairs with the dining table, too perhaps? Maybe that would dilute all the patterns. I love the idea for a little table as well - should it be white or should I find a glass table you think? I am going to check with the property manager to see if I can switch the lighting fixture as well. Hopefully, that can be changed!
