Purchased GE Cafe AND Jenn Air Pro-Style appliances!
Comments (3)I have the Jenn Air pro style range and like it very much. The control pad is a bit complicated but after a couple of weeks I have figured it out and it is easy now to use and remember. THe oven preheats very quickly and the burners are quite powerful...at least for me. If your knobs are rubbing it is simple to correct -- remove the knob , loosen the screw holding the ring around the knob, and shift the ring a little bit up, down or to the side. It may take a couple of tries to be sure the ring is in the right place....See MoreGE Cafe Fridge next to KitchenAid Dishwasher?
Comments (2)Stainless steel will never be identical between two different appliances, even from the same manufacturer, because they often come out of different factories. Even if both appliances come out of the same factory, they will be made from different rolls of stainless. Stainless steel will look similar between all the manufacturers, save for some exceptions like Frigidaire Smudge Proof, etc. Most people on this forum mix and match appliances from different manufacturers and it is rare that anyone here would advise you to buy a package from one manufacturer. TL;DR get the KA dishwasher. It'll be fine....See MoreDouble Wall Ovens -- GE Cafe vs Kitchenaid vs Thermador
Comments (2)I have a GE induction range and an Electrolux single oven. Both ovens work well. Best to go to an appliance store and try a few. Many stores in my area have them ready for a trial. In MD, Bray and Scraff do as well as some smaller places in PA....See MoreGE Cafe vs Kitchenaid
Comments (2)If you're looking at induction, keep in mind that the Cafe uses knobs to adjust the power level, and the KA has a touch system where you have to select the hob you want to adjust, then adjust the power level. I personally don't mind touch, but I hate a 2-step process (I had individual touch controls on my GE Profile induction which was great). Also, the KA oven does not have true self clean, just the maligned AquaLift. But the KA does have the baking drawer which expands your oven capacity if you're having a large gathering....See Morecolindbmc
