I love BM Simply White. I'm using it now on my exterior trim and will use it on all my interior trim as well. It's a nice, bright warm white. Regarding the sheen, BM paints (IMHO) seem to be shinier than other paints I've used. The "low luster" exterior that I'm using now actually has quite a bit of luster! I used the exterior "soft gloss/satin" on my front door and it actually looks more like a semi-gloss to me ... it's quite shiny. Personally, I would not want semi-gloss on my cabinets and would want something less shiny and reflective. While I might go with the painter's suggestion regarding the brand of paint to use (maybe he has better results with one over the other), I would want to choose the finish myself after looking at the different sheen levels on actual wood. samples. They had those at my BM dealer and they actually painted a couple of wood samples for me to bring home.

JudyG Designs what is a light warm grey that has the right undertones to minimize the heavy yellow in the antique white? My plan right now will be to keep the cabinets the antique because this is the 2nd time they've been painted (the first time the lady did a terrible job and I had to fire her and have her work removed) so I am worried about painting them a 3rd time. So I will paint the walls a light color that compliments the cabinets and gives them a whiter appearance. Paint the trim the antique to remove any stark white, paint the door a dark grey with the right warm undertones, the ceiling creamy white and next year we will replace the back splash to something simple that is either mix of white and cream or like a creamy herringbone. What do you think?

@kel_kat5 How wide is the counter space in each of those three options with the various pantry sizes? How big is your family? I'm considering a 15" pantry which seems quite small in comparison to most I've seen, but I live alone and currently have no pantry at all, so I think any tall cabinet would seem luxe!
