Thanks all. The mirror and large pencil drawing (my 1st college art class final project) stay where they are as does the large Karl Blechen print over the server table. I love the way the large Karl Blechen print looks as you enter the dining area. Now since I do not own this house I will not be adding a chandelier but for $35 from Home Depot I changed out the ceiling fan light kit. It used to be a school house style fixture - yuck! I will probably move 3 frames to the guest bedroom and then play with the arrangement of what I have left over to see how it all looks. With the exception of my art (I also have tow other drawings in this room) and a piece by my daughter who is also a talented artist, everything else is a print or something I found on the internet. One of the photos I found has a special meaning. The day I moved here to live while I was waiting at the WI airport I picked up a newspaper that was laying around. In it was a pic taken at the base of a very tall palm tree in the jungle, Puerto Rico, I think. When I finally had my internet access about 6 weeks later, I actually found the newspaper story online in the arcives and saved the photo. To me it was like a mini sign - of warmer places to come. enduring, when someone signs up for a houzz account, they have to choose a user name that shows in their posts (can be the same or different name that they use to sign up). If they don't choose one, houzz automatically assigns one of the HU ### to them and it's what appears in their posts. Most people signing on are not hanging around long enough to figure out the fine details of using their accounts, so they just keep the ###'s then they disappear ;-) HU= houzz user

Art is so personal and hard to suggest without knowing more. kat's questions are good. Depending on what you like, a simple dough bowl filled with fruit could be nice for the table. We have a lemon tree, so I like using lemons and their leaves. Any container you like is good, and it's kind of fun to keep it seasonal.

So I was just about to post a new question here and was thinking about this thread and how so many of you wonderful humans took time out a few years ago (omg pre-pandemic!!) when I was redoing my one bedroom condo. I obvs have no idea if people continue to stay on this forum but I’m hoping at least a few people see this so I can say THANK YOU!! Long story to go along with the long years we’ve all faced from early 2020 to now, but short version is soon after I did “refreshed” my place, I moved out of the h*** that was condo living in DC amid the pandemic to stay with my folks in NC. And quickly decided I never wanted to move back to DC! So I sold my place!! And no, I do not regret for a moment the work I put into it bc (1) it looked awesome and (2) it sold within days of being on the market, at a price a tad higher than other places in my own bldg which I attribute to a bit of emotional response bc my condo looked FIRE. So thanks to everyone who made suggestions (even those I didn’t take!). I learned so much and have found so much more confidence in my ability to know what I like, how to ask for help, and most of all…not become overwhelmed with opinions!! I ask for them, but hey…people like different things, no biggie. Anyways, in case anyone is still around, thought I’d share a few pics of how it all turned out in the end. Happy spring everyone!
