New Office: Need Help with Decor and Organization
Comments (1)By the way, it's quite chilly in there year round...we all have space heaters! I'm thinking a French cottage feel with a lot of natural textures, green and botanicals would warm things up and go with the furniture which echoes wrought iron and distressed wood....See MoreHelp decorating home office, please
Comments (12)Thanks, Flo! I think based on the rug and desk, my colors are black, white, gold, and pink, with some touches of green. Because the desk is black and gold it feels like it could fit with an eclectic & modern Hollywood glam vibe. With the addition of that chair, or something similar, I am thinking the art could be a few colorful statement pieces? And the storage could be an all white or all black file cabinet in something other than metal?...See MoreHelp - re-Decorating ideas for my home office/den.
Comments (5)A chair (or two) with an ottoman and a table would be great, especially if you are sometimes able to work while sitting in a chair with your coffee, tea (wine) on the table next to you. Is there any way to turn the desk so your back is not to the door and windows? That would bother me. It seems the shape of the desk fits the the way you have it but I wonder if you could turn and float it? If that worked then you also would be able to sit at the desk and talk with someone else in the new chair....I do see you don't have clients but I know my DH comes into my office and we chat. I don't work from home but bring work home and he sometimes comes in while I am finishing stuff up....See MoreNeed help decorating home office
Comments (9)First of all, I love the wet bar. I have one by my desk and it’s wonderful to have tea, coffee, water nearby. Your guests will also appreciate it - leave a bottle of wine, wine glasses and snacks out for them. A good quality sofa sleeper can sleep guests, provide seating, and will give you more space while you’re using the room as an office. Add side tables and lamps, it will be a nice place to read too. Place your cabinet on the far wall that doesn’t have a window and float your desk in front of it. The sofa can go on the opposite wall, near the entry. Place your keyboard under the window opposite the wet bar and roll your office chair over when you play. If you don’t need the ceiling fan, a beautiful light fixture can be swagged above your desk....See Moreshirlpp
