Oh heck no. I do all my shopping online anyway so it's easy to get it done.

I will only shop for the three grandchildren, ages, 9, 6 and 3. It will most likely be online shopping and depending on how things are, packages may just get shipped to their homes. All will just get money.

I think we're down to one 10 year old boy this year. Our shopping should take about six minutes on Amazon.

Not buying presents yet but shopping and preparing for sure. I usually only buy for SO and the other night minion at work, and that is only because he buys me something. Other buying requirements pop up if someone unexpectedly gets me something, I return the gesture. As for SO, I usually just put things in my amazon wish list all year and clear it out around Christmas. But, slim pickings this year and I am out of ideas for the most part. He is ZERO help in picking out presents for himself.

I am currently searching out a particular breed of puppy he has wanted for many years. My sister knows someone who breeds them, but I have yet to talk to them. A litter is due soon I understand, and therefore should be ready for homes by Christmas. Its a pretty pricey dog I understand, and I think that if i do manage to get him,one, he will be annoyed if I get him other things as well. We shall see.

I did start buying Christmas decorations already. I was MOST annoyed to discover that the 20 foot tall inflatable penguin I had my eye on on ebay to go with my snowman of the same size had been sold,so I am considering a 20 foot tall Santa or a different snowman.

I have 15 nieces and nephews all together but I only do Christmas and birthday presents for 2 of my nephews as they are also my Godsons and I am otherwise ill suited to that role. I send them money.

I am excited for Christmas. My favorite time of year!

no little ones yet so we quit exchanging gifts. Just enjoy getting together. So much easier and no one needs anything.

And, won't get to do the fun shopping in the stores this year...masking and

distancing still in full force here. A lot fewer gifts...and more gift cards and

money, I guess.

I have three daughters who are all married or in dedicated relationships. I think the couples will get money which is my least favorite thing to give. I have 8 grandchildren ages 9 months to 19 years and they will all get gifts. One daughter who has 5 children will do sign up genius which makes it so easy to pick and choose what to get for each child. Links to Amazon so all I have to do is click and wait for arrival.

kathsgarden he gave me a laugh with the before WWI. I wonder if he knows that most had removable collars and cuffs. I do not remember where I saw it but within the last two years I saw on line a high end shirt which came with one collar but you could purchase other colors. There were tiny buttons on an enforced neck for the collar's to attach to.

Most of the people I send stuff to I send some type of foodstuff that they can either eat themselves or pass out at some type of potluck or other type of group setting. I steer clear of the cheese crap and normally do things like Christopher Elbow or Andre's chocolates although I have sent pistachios.

Kathsgrdn I hope your son does get to come home for Christmas and I think a black button down would be perfect. I have bought for 3 people so far. Will make some gifts and I need to order stuff for those. For my son's family I will probably get some kerosene for their heater, I'd rather help out that way. Will probably give my grandgirl money and maybe earrings. The grandboy probably a winter coat and a toy. I buy for a couple friends, too. And probably a bracelet for my mom.

My shopping was very easy this year. Since all are adults with the exception of one teen, I chose to drop ship a live wreath to each family. The one teen will receive a lip gloss and money. My toughest task is to find some stocking stuffers for my parents. We don't exchange gifts, but we do fill each stocking with some small gifts and a sweet or snack of some kind.

amylou just a suggestion as far as the puppy goes. Talk to the breeder but allow your son to pick one out then you pay for it. It may not be the right time in his life or the puppy you select may not bond with him. Too many Christmas puppies and kittens get taken to animal shelters when given by well meaning people when the family is not ready.

We don't exchange Christmas presents with family or friends anymore - no children of our own and nieces/nephews who are grown with their own families. I did buy my dear mother a wonderful heated throw from L.L. Bean and they are shipping it to her this month. I always send her chocolates from See's Candies, too.

I started my shopping Sunday. Picked out some stuff for the g'kids at Kohl's.

Maifleur03, I don't have a son or any children. The dog would be for my SO,who is 53 years old and quite sure he wants one,has many years experience caring for animals, including our current dogs, and misses having a dog who strictly lives in the house.

His time in his life is the same as mine (as far as this goes,he is 17.5 years older than me.) We have wanted another dog for awhile but haven't found one yet.

We have never ever taken a dog to a shelter after getting it. Ever. I hate the shelters around here.

We did rehome a chihuahua that HATED us after a week or so and she is much happier now. She is the companion of one of the truck drivers that comes into my work and I see her regularly. And yes. She still dislikes me. She was a rescue and had quite challenging obstacles to overcome. I am glad she has done so to bond so tightly to her new owner.

Anyway, as I said, we do not see animals as a novelty item. We have been looking for awhile and I know it will be a huge and pleasant surprise for him if I were to get him one as a companion.

I have gotten three gifts so far. When I need to order something that doesn’t make the free shipping amount I just add a gift so I don’t need to pay for the shipping.

Unless a miracle happens, I think that Christmas in Wisconsin will be bleak this year. Covid cases have been spiking the past 2 weeks. There won't be much travel (tough to find a safe place to sleep) and church gatherings will be sparse. Zoom is going to get a workout. I expect that family get-togethers will be the prime activity and that will be curtailed.

I have 4 daughters, three sons-in-law, and 4 grandchildren. All but 1 daughter and 1 granddaughter have November birthdays. So, by the time I finish the birthdays it's time for Christmas!!

I’m going to have a granddaughter that hopefully will be born tomorrow. I ordered her the peek-a-boo elephant that I will give her for Christmas. I think by 2 months, she might enjoy it. I also have a 5 year old granddaughter to buy for. As for my kids, I usually just give them money. I have been laid off from work due to the pandemic so no co-workers to buy for this year.

i've had some pretty significant vet bills over the past couple of months. giant dogs, giant vet bills. so, my Christmas shopping will be scant this year. i got my 4 year old a ride-on police 3-wheel electric motorcycle (dread putting that together). my son and his wife are getting a gift certificate from a professional photographer for a family portrait they've been talking about wanting. the dogs will get giant bully sticks. :)

I always do my shopping early, and I bought a present for my sister a couple of weeks ago, but I might give her something else instead.

I tend to buy presents throughout the year, whenever I happen to find something that I think someone else might like. I am definitely not a last-minute shopper, and I generally have gifts months in advance.

We only buy gifts for the grand kids. DD will put things on their Amazon wish lists. I pick from those but always add something not asked for and unexpected that I know they will like.

I already bought a few new toys for the dog. She loves those long snakes that have multiple giant squeakers. They last quite a long time. I also got her a large grunting bison. The latter she will enjoy surgically removing the vast amount of stuffing from to be decorously scattered about house and yard. It will be her version of a white Xmas.

My 1 1 year old grandson called me to tell me that he put white crew socks, a book, and ipods on his Christmas list. I had to laugh; he is an interesting little fellow.
