Hi there! Beautiful wall! I would suggest a slate look flooring... for a nice contrast to the wood, I like a medium darker floor as it feels grounding to the space..... Or if you prefer the wood look, perhaps select a dark tone from the knots in the wood an try to find a match in flooring.... Goodluck!

If you go with wood look I would lean towards a medium to darker floor... A tone similar to the dark knots in the wall..... It could look really nice, just have to be more careful when pairing a fake wood floor up against a real wood.... It can be done, just take your time and maybe take an extra wall board with good color variation to help you select a right match.

The colors in this floor are nice as it gives you more options with a blend of medium and darker tones...

You might want to consider luxury vinyl plank flooring too, its 100% waterproof which is great for a lake house and looks like wood, easy to clean, easy to install (click and lock). We just installed commercial grade 8mm LVP 28 wear layer from lumber liquidators throughout our entire home. We got an awesome deal, seems like best time to purchase is around black friday.

I really like the medium to dark wood ideas. I think that is the way to go. That way the the wall and floor colors aren’t fighting each other. I’ll check out the luxury vinyl too. Do they make luxury vinyl in the same thickness as the laminate?

I agree with others - do not try to match an artificial product with a real product. Pick a color for your floor (whether laminate, lvp, tile, or whatever) that is contrasting to the pine tongue and groove. Which is lovely, by the way.

Thanks littlebug. I now see that I need to go toward a contrasting color. To be totally honest, my husband has made the choice more difficult. My plan was to paint the pine, but when he saw the beauty in the raw wood he absolutely refused. He never questions any direction I take with decorating. Wow he really is a trusting fellow. I just didn’t have it in my heart to paint it after he shared how much he loved it.

As far as I know yes, there is alot of choices for thickness, we have been very pleased with ours, have young kids and a lab and the LVP has held up beautifully..... whichever product you end up choosing will be great! Goodluck!
