Yes we need to know budget but more to the point is what are you doing inside. Are you adding windows any other changes that will have a effect on the exterior? IMO the shkes need to go and be replace with regular siding. That weird 1/2 cover on the driveway needs to be removed and IMO park your car on the street . You will need to be careful to design the block type finish to enhance the house the same goes for the dark color everywhere. That tiny window needs to be addressed IMO it throws off the whole front .The hedge needs to removed and if you go with eiter idea above new windows for sure. in a much more contemporary style and in black.

Since there are no large windows in the area hidden by the bushes, I would take them out. Maybe some hydrangeas in their place. I am not crazy about the shake just on one part of the siding.

--Paint all a dark gray as suggested above.

--Add red brick pavers for left walkway and, if budget allows, for the driveway as well.

--Get a garden center to design a front garden, especially with tall foundation plants to break up the tiny window wall.

thank you everyone this has given me a lot of ideas and even more work. it seems the consensus is to remove or change the garage overhang and the shake needs to go its hideous. i think the brick pavers are a nice touch.

I’d consider a navy for the siding, it looks amazing with cedar. Or a deep green. Don’t be afraid to stand out from the crowd.
