I hope I am posting this in time for you to see! I can tell you first hand that Bragada foam mattresses are amazing, and cost way less than Tempur-Pedic. You will not get hot (they use silk covering, helps keep it cool) at all. I am the type of person who cannot stand heat, my ideal day is 60 or below :P, so that was my number one concern when purchasing a bed (aside from cost). I'm sure Tempur-Pedics are really nice, but why pay almost double the price? I purchased my queen a year ago from Bragada for just under 900.00 with a box spring. At that time, a comparable bed from Tempur-Pedic was around 1400.00. Of course, by now, the prices could look much different, I came in on a good sale :). I have been totally satisfied with bragada, and their customer service is pretty good (in my experience so far). I think we will try one. There are two or three different kinds: one is made up of tiny little pellets of foam, and I think one targets sleep position for spine alignment, and I think there is one specifically for neck and spine problems. We must have 15 different pillows around here that we have tried over the past few years that have not worked out. Concerning beds: We were strongly considering a tempurpedic mattress a couple of years ago, but DH is a night sweater and we didn't think it would be the best match. I had had such a problem with pressure points at my hips that I could not sleep comfortably, we bought a Healthy Choice Comfortaire bed, which has a layer of memory foam on the top, and that has worked very well. I know this thread is old, but I came across it when doing a search for something else. We have a true Tempurpedic thick mattress (not the thin and not the pillow top.) We bought it because I was having back problems. The bed is wonderful in the winter, and really keeps you toasty. I have no problems with my back in the winter. In the summer, the bed gets too "soft" for my back. I think one reason is because our bedroom is south facing and gets very hot in the afternoon...therefore the mattress heats up and softens. I have the hot flashes, too. LOL We keep our thermostat around 72-74 in the summer (65 in the winter.) Also, I am "fluffy" so the extra weight makes the mattress sink down even further when it is warm. On the other hand, my DH is thin and he loves the mattress year round. We fight over the thermostat settings. He wants it warmer in both the summer and the winter. Ugh!!! I have found that if I place a thick mattress pad on top of the Tempur in the summer it helps keep my body heat from heating up the mattress. I take it off in the winter, so that the mattress can "catch" the cold from the room and firm up more. If I had it to do all over again, I would have either purchased the thinner mattress (these are firmer, but would make the overall bed thinner and hard to cover) or purchased the Sleep Number so that DH and I could have our own settings. Moving around the bed is a little difficult and there is absolutely no support for the back if one of the "kids" jumps on top of you. Wink, wink!

I hope I can help since I spent over 1 year researching mattresses. Never buy any pillowtop because basically it's memory foam on top and will break down and form lumps in the top. If you want a good mattress buy one and add on a latex topper for softness. There is company called Shifman, which has been around for ages, and you can still flip it over. Most mattresses don't allow you to turn them over anymore. Sterns and Foster makes decent mattresses. Basically they change names to prevent you from comparison shopping. I bought a organic latex mattress from Savvy Rest. They are located in Va. but have stores where you can try them out. You order according to your configuration. It's not the normal type of mattress but basically you design your layers and you can have a configuration that is good for your needs. The latex layers lie inside a well made zip top cover. Is it ideal? Not really all that I dreamed of. We had our last mattress for 32 years and we were used to a firm mattress. Initially, my back was still sore cause it's a matter of getting your muscles used to something different. Latex (natural) lasts forever and isn't hot to sleep on. The organic part was a plus, but not necessarily a necessity. Some of the Sealy brands are not natural latex and some stores sell latex mattresses that aren't fully latex, but an inch or two on top and they call it latex.
