Laundry closet dilemma
Comments (13)Leave the appliances alone. They're fine. Install something like the Closet Maid products. Remove the existing shelf and install two pairs of standards, one pair over the washer and one pair over the dryer. Run the standards from below the appliance control panels to, say, a foot from the ceiling. Attach shallow wood shelves to the standards just above the control panels for detergent, bleach, etc. Install deeper wire shelves above those for other stuff. By using two sets of standards you'll have a lot of flexibility in how you arrange the shelves which you can move around anytime. If you buy the wire shelves at Home Depot, an employee will cut them to the lengths you need....See MoreHis and Her closet Dilemma

You simply need to put OUT of season, upstairs. in season near the bath. Then call a California closet, or a Loews. ( yes.... they can do a nice job ) and together, with an ASSESSMENT of your cloting......sports, dress, folded, hanging, shoes, accessories, scarves, belts bags et ALLLLLLLL, You decide how you want to out fit the space. Thart's the shortest route, because clolthes are personal. If you tend a farm, your closet doesn't look like someone working o n Wall Street. The clothes required are different. If you can't find room for grooming and bath supplies in that bathroom? You need a major purge of who knows what : Maybe you need a make up table under that window. Only you know. Only you know your clothes. Maybe you're Sarah Jessica Parker, and maybe you aren't : ) You must "suggest....you" Lighting is dependent on ceiling height, and needs to be ether recessed or flush mount...See Morecloset and bedroom dilemma
Comments (1)You might want to post this in the Building a Home forum. Be sure to explain what you want to accomplish, if the home is already existing or if you are modifying a plan for a house yet to be built, and what walls can move, if any, and if you can expand beyond the footprint. To me, this looks like one floor of a two-flat, as they are called in Chicago, which would limit what you can do....See MoreAWKWARD BATHROOM CLOSET DESIGN DILEMMA
Comments (6)I love this. You have a built in laundry folding station/fix-it project tabletop (store tools) AND ‘standing catch all‘ when you have too much stuff in your arms (read: up from basement/in from garage). Organize with shelves/drawers/sliding panel of pegboard (on wall side). Tons of led lights under shelves/in drawers/on work surface means you can see what you’re looking for. Trim the front with durable knee-bump friendly beadboard. bonus if you incorperate ’sink-front flip-open hinges’ for pens/pencils/screwdriver on front. I’m jealous....See MoreDana Cohen
