How to handle large window openings, without spending a fortune

I have a window that has been spec'd at 105 x 104 inches for my family room. All the other windows are JeldWen Siteline and range from $600-$1600. Because of the size, it's multiple windows mulled together.

Is there a window configuration that allows for this size with some small casement opening... that doesn't cost a fortune? I was willing to look at other brands, but note that we also have grids and it eliminated some options.

Here is what the window our architect drew up looks like. Her configuration shows 3 awnings at the bottom, which I don't like. But do need a little fresh air.

thank you for any suggestions! I'm in Northern California with T24 and Wildland-Urban Interface requirements in case it changes the suggestions.
