I live in a 1920s Tudor that has casement windows, only my casement windows swing inward instead of outward, which is French style I believe.

I just took them off because the house is going to be painted but realistically I’ll probably need to put them back on after they are painted, I just feel like they take away from the character of the home. Does anyone have any suggestions? E.g. changing the screens to a lighter color maybe. Maybe other creative solutions. Open to ideas. Thanks!
