Mike, thanks for the nice comments. I am a certified citrus nut now. I will have to let you know on the Pummelo. One of my very good friends actually bought that for me and has royalty rights on any fruit I produce (we are negotiationg at 10 to 20% lol). It is certainly new to me. I am hoping it produces well. It is moderately cold hardy, so I will have to be careful this winter. Northwest Florida gets a nice stretch of cold, so you have to be careful. I recently visited the nursery "Just Fruits and Exotics" and toured their grove behind the nursery operation. They had a huge HB Pummelo and it was loaded. They are in zone 9 too. However, they are super experienced and have an awesome nursery. Their online site has a bunch of really good information on it for fruits of all kind. My soil has excellent drainage (I think that is why I want to kill all my grass and plant citrus - lol). This Meyer I planted has done much better in the yard. It seems to have doubled in size over this growing season. Funny common story, my weimeraner thought one of the lower lemons looked like a great green ball. He got the lemon, but thankfully got a thorn too, so he hasn't hit it again! The funny thing is, as soon as he ripped off a big one, withing three days or so, i go three more baby lemons started. Thanks so much. I really have cut back - I started 200 seedlings (of tomatoes - don't know how many veggies all together), but gave away a ton and lost quite a few also, so am left with only 92 actually in the ground. And I'm not doing the Farmer's Market unless for some reason it becomes incredibly convenient. Not worrying about growing any for anyone but our family - but I do want to do a lot of drying and canning this year - we ran out way too soon last winter and food has really gotten expensive. Plus, I just wouldn't know what to talk about in the summer if I wasn't growing too many heirlooms! First thing people seem to start conversations with is "So, how's your garden?" - then they ask about the baby! But, in all seriousness, we need to really get some staking done and then I'm really going to take it easy and just try to enjoy it. I guess I spent a lot of years trying to raise my kids in poverty and really feeling guilty for everything I wasn't giving them - not things so much as 'country living experiences and knowledge'. Now I've got so much joy seeing them out in the garden (well, don't see the oldest out here much as she apparently hates dirt - but she'll come out if I really need it or beg), and especially having this new little one out there in his stroller or sling and know that he's going to get his whole childhood being raised the way I dreamed of getting to raise the other two. I can't wait till he gets excited about flowers/plants and pulls them up - and I won't have to apologize to anyone (like I did when the middle one would do it in public gardens) because they're all ours!

I have been! I got DH to install the new lighting in the living room last weekend so I would have a week to decide on paint before the sale starts Friday. The thought was so I can compare paint chips in the correct lighting.. only now we can't settle on bulbs (one type keeps breaking, the other keeps overheating the fixture). Curses, foiled again! I'm going to try to pull off finalizing bulbs tonight/tomorrow so I have time to post for help with paint though. I wish I had gone with SW instead of BM for trim paint too.. BM is so expensive and I have a lot left to do... I wonder how well SW matches..
