Manchester Tan or Halo? Can you share pictures if you have any?
Comments (25)aurora - I think with all your windows, the Manchester Tan would work in your room. I agree with above poster to paint a big area of the wall in your room. peony - sorry it didn't work for you, but thank you for sharing your experience. Good to know it might not work in a room with less natural light. I too noticed the green undertone when I had samples on the wall. In fact, at first I thought it would be too close to the green on my kitchen walls (BM Baby Turtle). Kitchen and family room are very open to each other. But, once the room was painted, I couldn't see any green undertones, even though it's right next to green....See MorePaint gurus....Manchester Tan paint fail:(
Comments (47)I was just going to add I'm glad your DH went and bought the actual BM Manchester Tan. I too have learned the hard way not to attempt to match BM paint colors with other brands. It's not that other brands don't have good paint, its the way BM colors are made. You can probably match just about any other paint brand color with a BM paint, but it really is not a good idea to take a BM paint color and match to a different brand. My BM Elmira White match with a SW paint turned out with ugly pink undertones which I didn't catch until everything had been painted and then it couldn't be undone. I've had to live with it for years thinking it was just not the right paint color only to get the actual BM paint and find that no, it was the SW match. The real BM color is beautiful and I will now be repainting with it unless I choose another color. It's frustrating because most painters work with SW paint because it is easy to find. But I love BM and will just have to pay up for it....See MoreBenjamin Moore paints: Manchester Tan vs Adobe Beige vs Everlasting
Comments (9)Thanks, all! I will be using it to paint older oak kitchen cabinets and maybe the walls of my kitchen, for a monochromatic look (will keep the white trim). My kitchen is in desperate need of a freshening up and I have heard trying to renovate right now with all of the covid delays is a nightmare. Hoping a coat of paint will buy us a couple years. Didn't want white, just something a couple shades lighter (and less orangy) than the oak. I will post the after pics when its done. Lenox Tan - I saw online how popular it is, with designers as well. I understand its a great color, too, and a bit deeper/darker....See MoreI’m working on my open concept Townhouse .
Comments (17)Thank you tracefloyd, and deegw. You both have been very helpful. That’s exactly what my problem has been, trying to figure out how to blend the grey flooring with everything else without getting grey furniture since,as you mention grey is going out. The grey floor was already here when I moved in. I don't like it at all , but I’ll have to live with it , at least for a while since I have to get other things. That’s the reason why I got a brown dining room table [maybe walnut I’m not sure} that has a little warm to it. But since my living room and dining area are together , meaning one in front of the other in an open space ,the color palette has to blend some how. So , I want to pick a color for the living room chairs that would look good with two fabric chairs at the end of the dining table, I don't have those yet. But I’m not sure how much the coffee table , end tables, dining room chairs and buffet or console in the dinning area need to match with each other and with the grey floor. Thanks for your suggestions and the photos you posted ....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
