You know, if you work with Aura colors, the initial PR on them was that they share a particular tone (iirc it's something about the kind of colorant, but someone like funcolors would know more about that) which coordinates them such that they'll all work with each other, supposedly. The game was to pick any three colors from the deck and you'd be able to make a look with them. That's why they were called "Affinity" colors. You might want to look for tones you like in that set of colors and know that they're 'scientifically' designed to be able to play well together. Even tho everyone knows that you can not trust how paint chips look online, I thought I'd throw this out there. You have to be careful with virtuals. Two things in particular, the darker more saturated virtual colors always look better online. And that's not necessarily true in real life. I always caution people about choosing darker value exterior paint colors - because they do look soooo good online - but that doesn't mean you're a dark value exterior kinda person in real life. Really think about your preference - whether you prefer light colored exteriors vs. darker ones. It's like ceiling color above your head - some people prefer white ceilings and some people can't stand it and need color above their heads. Also, dark value paint colors don't wear as well exterior as lighter values. Some exterior products have color specifications indicating how dark the material can be painted, look for LRV (light reflectance value) information in the product's specifications.

Start by thinking about what you want. You want a greige with less peachy, so something with less red in it and more yellow. I actually ran into this problem recently with a room I was painting, everything turned out to appear more red than originally. What I had ended up with was PPG Best Beige. Now if you compare it to some of the other beiges you can see there is more red in it. It is 2nd row 3rd from the right. http://www.ppgpittsburghpaints.com/color/paint-colors/beiges When I compare the paint I ended up with other beiges, it does have a touch more red than some of the others, but I didn't have time to mess with it anymore after 3 attempts it needed to be done. I stopped looking so hard at it and don't notice it now and the paint looks fine. If you look at the gray color palate revere pewter is in the center 2nd row down. When it comes to transition areas, it's often a good idea to go with a neutral as they are more versatile. Transitional areas like entryway/hallways can have SO many colours going off of them, and choosing a 'colour' for this area, can limit you in other rooms.
