Yellow spots on House plants

Hi all,

new to the app/site but need some house plant advice and hope someone can part with some knowledge. 🙂

I've noticed little small yellow spots on my Philodendron Laciniatum. It started out as one or two little dots. Then the dots seem to multiply.

I’ve checked, double checked and panic checked for pests and couldn’t see any. Treated the plant with neem oil to only have more dots appear. The plant gets good light and water. Wondering if this is a fertiliser, fungus or bacteria issue? (or any other issue I’m unaware of)

I’ve just noticed today that my Alocasia Stingray has the same issue yet not a single pest in sight, unless i’m suffering temporary blindness.

The photos below show the plant as normal and then the plant under a light to show the dots.

That might be a fungal leaf spot, but to be sure and what might be the best treatment for it would be to take a sample to your local Texas A & M Cooperative Extension Service, in a sealable plastic bag.

Did you plant them both this year? If not when? Is the entire vine affected? I'm wondering if perhaps this vine is running short of water for one reason or another. In case you did plant it this year -- if it doesn't improve soon, I suggest you start over with a new plant next year.

The plants in self-watering containers and in 5-gallon grow bags are both exhibiting the leaf roll. However, I do have 2 5-gallon grow bags that have plants in partial shade which do not exhibit leaf roll and are just as big, if not bigger, than those in the self-watering containers. I'm thinking the leaf roll may be root stress related. Either the 5-gallon containers/bags have become too small, the container gets too hot thus stressing the roots, or the potting soil has finally compacted and isn't delivering enough oxygen to the roots. I have tomato plants in raised beds as well and I haven't noticed any leaf roll with them. I have noticed a few had yellowing leaves w/brown spots (3rd picture), however.

Yes, it has drainage holes- I left it in it's nursery pot. I put rocks/gravel at the bottom of the "decorative pot" that sits on the floor and the nursery pot sits on top of the gravel so it won't sit in water.
