Plumbing Design Dilemma Kitchens

Need help finding matching or coordinating kitchen faucets

Hello,

We are doing a massive remodel of our kitchen and we are at the point where we need to start finding hardware and faucets. We will have one granite sink, an instant hot water tank, reverse osmosis filtered water, and a pot filler. I am trying to find matching or maybe coordinated faucets that have the following:

Semi-pro style kitchen faucet with a single handle. No touch or wave on functions.
A water dispensing faucet that can accommodate both hot and cold water.
A good quality wall mounted pot filler.
Open to colors such as black, stainless, brushed nickel. No brass or chrome.

Doe anyone have something similar in their kitchen?

IMO biggest waste of money is a pot filler. As for hot and cold water in the same faucet Insinkerator has one .

@Patricia Colwell Consulting The Insinkerator one is a satin nickel. I am not sure how well it will mix with brushed nickel from another company.

As for the pot filler, I do a lot of sous vide cooking which requires filling a fairly large container with water and walking it over to the stove without it splashing. A pot filler would be very handy to fit up where I need the container.

Shee, how many windows do you have, just 1 window and the door as shown in your pic or windows on both sides of the door? We have about the same situation and PO installed mini blinds on the windows and door therefore the door cannot open completely. Do you open your door? I plan to ditch the mini blinds and DD is making a lined drapery that will be mounted up above the windows and door. It will be on a metal rod with rings and little clips. My plan is to pull the drapery together to the center in the morning (faces east) and then close again in the evening for privacy. We don't open our door often but when we do I would love to have it open back against the window and not poke out into the breakfast room. I love your fabrics, also agree that whatever is in your dining area should match the kitchen valance.

I have found that not all colors of polished nickle or even satin nickle match perfectly. But, your light and faucets are going to be far enough distance apart and on different planes, so you'll never notice the difference if they match or not. I've done both the chrome and satin nickel in my faucets - chrome in the bath and satin nickel in the kitchen. I like both but have found the chrome is considerably less expensive than nickel. I'd find a faucet you like and then decide what finish you like it best in. I think either finish will work fine.

You don't really need the air gap unless you are in California. And if you are in California, just buy the cheapest air gap for the inspection, and when the inspection is over, replace the air gap with the soap dispenser. Dishwashers today come with a "high loop hose" so that the air gap is not needed. That is why there is only California and a few counties in the entire country that still have a Code requirement for an air gap. You don't then need so many fixtures at your sink, and so many holes cut into your counter.

@megs1030 The Kichler pendant in the picture is 15.75" Height x 10.50" Width. Island is 94"x 41" and ceiling height is 9 ft. Table is 48 in. This set will be replaced as well (the idea is to get something with a combination of white and brushed nickel or stainless still but same size). @acm Those look great. The island pendants and the nook light fixture are only 8 ft apart (from center to center). I'm wondering if switching from what I have now - mini pendants, 7" x 4" - to something much bigger as these Kichler ones (mentioned above) won't look too busy when combined with the nook. They look great but I don't mind finding something smaller if that is what it takes to bring the perfect balance.

You do you. If you love a pot filler, get one. I love mine and use it daily... certainly not a waste of money, imo.

As for coordinating faucets, etc... have you checked out Newport Brass? They have lots of finishes other than brass and chrome... black, white, satin nickel, etc.

@megs1030 Thank you. I took a look at Newport and read some reviews. I cant find the semi professional looking kitchen faucet we are looking for. I appreciate the recommendation.

You might try Blanco. They have a semi-pro faucet (the Culina and Culina Mini) that I installed at my last house and liked. They also also sell a pot filler called the Cantana in a similar style. Unfortunately these two products are not available in the quite same finishes - one is Satin Nickel and the other is in Brushed Nickel. (There is also chrome but you said you were avoiding chrome.)

Moen has a semi pro faucet called Align and a similar style pot filler (S665BG) that are available in black or stainless.

It's not a semi-pro faucet, but it might be worth checking out the Kohler Karbon. The Karbon is an articulating faucet and there is a matching pot filler. There's a stainless and a two tone option (black/silver).

I have a Rohl bar faucet that dispenses hot and cold water, as well as filtered water. It works great. It's brushed nickel and looks just fine with the stainless steel faucet in the main sink. I wouldn't get too hung up on matching finishes--get the product that works best for you.

Mine is traditional, but they make modern styles as well.
