Can someone help me identify these succulents?
Comments (9)Laura It shouldn't be difficult to separate them - there seems to be lots of space between individual plants. You can behead them - chop off top part of plant (best to use sharp knife), let callous and pot up. You can pot up lower part (leftover trunk with roots) & you could get some new babies sprouting from it. It would be good to improve your potting mix, this one looks pretty peaty (hard to tell from your photo). They would enjoy more gritty mix - much better drainage. There are some skinny & tall plants in the background - are they succulents? Edited to add: here is a thread with very similar question and good photos: beheading echeveria Howard (bikerdoc) is giving excellent advice & photos showing 'leftover' trunks growing new plants....See MoreHELP IDENTIFYING SUCCULENT PLEASE
Comments (15)Thank you all for the advice I will look into everything! I will be getting her a new container then and will paint it thank you for telling me about the Michael's pots! I don't water her much only when the soil looks very dry I just dampened the soil in that pic i had just watered her and changed her out of this glass container that was way worse for her. I will be getting new soil! I also really like the container I can add drainage holes to it too. Also Chuckerfly here's two more photos is that helps. I know she has spots too is there a way to prevent that? Thank you guys so much for the help!...See MoreHELP WITH EVERYTHING PLEASE
Comments (5)I see your grow light now, that's great you have one. I can see it's several inches above your plants. Maybe at night you can lower it to within a few inches, 4" or so of your plant tops, for at least a few hours. You need to make your plants all the same height/level, by raising the small ones on pedestals. Anytime you increase light/sun do it gradually to prevent burn. If you search light set-up here you'll find some of the "pro" growers whose lights are always very close to the plants. My suggestion to you for night lowering would allow your plants to enjoy natural light during the day and get extra from your set-up at night....See MoreCan someone help me identify these two succulents please
