I think the white looks better than the creme. More crisp looking. If you are doubting it is usually a sign you are right.

White trim with dark colors looks good all the time. Classic french gray color is a shade of yellow, so cream is not so bad to go with.But if you check SW painting site you can see that they suggest First Star SW color is one of coordinating ...or exact matching Shoreline / 1471 Benjamin Moore. Both are light shade of yellow.

I like the white in this case.

I am going to be the naysayer here. I love the cream, especially because of the age of the home. It looks more true to a heritage palette and shares the stage well with the gray. The white looks fine too. It's a safe option but a little more bossy.

My home is a very light gray. It looks white. It does brighten it up but I myself having to wash it annually to keep it looking nice. It tends to show a light layer of dirt/dust. For practical reasons, I also think the creamy color would be more forgiving.

I like the white. I love the cream. It reminds me of what I see when visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Good luck with your decision. It's beautiful home.

I dont mind the creme, its fine, however, I do like the white a bit better. You really cant go wrong with either of them though.

I like the cream. It is softer. But the white is okay.

Just wanted to add I would have been fine with the cream if you hadn't shown the white. Seems you have a win-win thing going here.

I like the creme for the age of your house and it seems to keep the body from reading too blue rather than a neutral grey. Maybe add another pic from the curb?

My vote is for the SW Creme. The white is too bright.

I have no idea why you chose a color called creme if you wanted pure white. IMO the creme actually looks kind of nice but it is really up to you to decide this

I think cream and gray together is a beautiful, sophisticated combination.

Thanks so much for everyone’s input! Final decision: sticking with creme! I chose creme in the first place bc I thought the heritage look would be nice for such an old house and then randomly saw that primed door with pure white next to the body color and started second guessing since it looked clean and nice with that black door knob too. Thanks again! Love having a place to go to to talk about the millions of shades of white :) now to decide a front door color...decision fatigue is real!
