Anyone dealt w/ IKEA warranty issues?
Comments (5)*Definitely* take it back--you *won't* have to buy a new one, no trick necessary, I can pretty much promise you. NO problem at all. What pattern is it? Did water get on it? Not that Ikea would contest your claim, but I just think they would want to know for their own quality control issues. They've pulled entire lines because of quality control, if enough problems crop up; folks who had those lines on order or halfway through are given full credit to get a new kitchen's worth of doors, no kidding. I've *never* had a problem returning anything, even months later, or whatever the problem is. They want us happy :)...See MoreIkea home delivery missing parts
Comments (5)I was told I only had 48 hours after delivery to verify that all was there. I did have one missing part and one damaged box, so I called and they replaced them right away. It turns out they also sent me a brown ventilation shelf instead of white, but I did not notice this until a few weeks ago. I decided to let it go, because the shelf is not going to be showing. I'm not sure if they will refund you now since November is 7 months ago, but it would not hurt to ask....See MoreIkea delivery spread sheet?
Comments (7)I've been planning it since the moment we bought the house...okay the truth...I've been planning parts of what I wanted my kitchen to look like before we even bought a house. :) We've had some set backs. But finally it's happening! A little less than 3 years from purchase. Cabinets coming, Bodbyns, range hood already here and hardware ordered. Pretty much set on a sink, undermount, zero radius SS. Struggling with faucet style though. Main counters will be carrara and putting a bit of butcher block for the coffee station counter. The 4' work table from Ikea will be my "island", so we'll be picking that up this weekend in the black. Flooring is at Lowes waiting for pick up. Pergo Engineered hard wood in Cresent Walnut. We will be putting it everywhere but bathrooms and bedrooms. The last few days I've been thinking about paint color. Need to sort out lighting. I'll have my brother add some can's to the ceiling. But other than getting rid of the '79 box...not sure what I want. Backsplash probably 3x6 white subway with either matching grout or very light grey....See MoreIkea grimslov brown issues?
Comments (4)Kel Oba, the countertop in the back is Ceasarstone Piatra Grey. The countertop on the Island was a product from a local fabricator that was much cheaper than Caesarstone. It's white with some grey spots. They had slabs that were big enough to cover 11 ft without seams and charged by the sq ft, which saved us about 3k. We actually still don't have a backsplash. I've been trying for the past year to get my contractor to finish the renovation that was interrupted by Covid. Still love my kitchen though. Too bad Ikea is discontinuing the color. I had been planning to get some matching storage cabinets but they are all out of stock....See Morewiscokid
