My wine grape tree is in poor health. Please advice.

I bought this tree from a couple two months ago. It was in a great shape when I received it. After several weeks in my backyard, the bottom leaves started yellowing and the edges turned brown (with circular patten) and eventually fell down. Now the yellowing is creeping up to the upper part of the tree.

I live in the hilly and foggy part of San Francisco where wind could be brutal. I put the grape tree in a big pot in a sunny spot in my backyard (maximum 6 hours of sun on a good day and 3-4 hours of sun on a typical SF summer day). There are several big trees around.

Could it be some kind of disease or poor nutrition? Downy mildew? insufficient sunlight? I did spray copper fungicide every 2-3 weeks. Also, overwatering is probably not an issue because I water it every 1-1.5 weeks. Thank you for any advice!
