Wednesday's Trivia Quiz

Yesterday's question was obviously too easy!

What do the letters a.m. and p.m. stand for?

ante and post meridiem. Or as I like to think---almost morning and past morning!

Today's question is a wide open one, let's see who guesses the answer that I heard.

Almost 9 in 10 of can’t do this. What is it?

Edited to correct the spelling of ante. It was a mistake/typo on my part.

"What do the letters a.m. and p.m. stand for?
    anti and post meridiem."

Jasdip, a very small clarification please for what I'm sure was a morning slip:

It should be ante, not anti. Ante means before, as in an ante nuptial agreement. Anti means against or opposite.

Though those cagey Italians took Latin's ante, changed it to anti, and came up with antipasto for food before the meal, the appetizers or starter.

Isn't there one about kissing your elbow? Or touching your elbow to your ear? Something like that, but I obviously can't do it - if I could do it, I would remember it :-)

You've reported *my* comment, elmer? That's rich. I quoted YOUR comment from another thread, with the sole exception of substituting your name for mine.

This is my last reply to you.

This comment you've quoted from a past thread was intended to be playful. You misunderstood these very words in that thread, fair enough. I replied in that thread that the comment was not a serious one and wasn't to be read as a slight but that apparently wasn't a reply you wanted because you responded to my clarification with an insult. As you seem to like to do when you misunderstand, disagree, or make a mistake.

Feel free to quote it all you want. It was said in jest, it wasn't a slight, I said so and every time you re-quote or mention it you're repeating the same mistake.

Find useful things to contribute. Have insights to share. I will report your or anyone else's vacuous insults and as you see was done, they'll be deleted.
