Wandering Stitchers 2015 retreat info
Comments (11)OK folks, I have packed way too much! I also went a little food crazy. My car will be full to the brim. But never fear, I will get the homemade 3-layer Italian Cream Cake in the car. Now lets just hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as my cupcakes from last year... I guess if it does, we can always turn it upside down and eat it out of the lid like a salad. :)...See MoreWandering Stitchers Retreat poll
Comments (5)Here are our plans for retreat. I made some changes to the dinner schedule. Dinners: Wednesday - Bev and Tim, Burgers etc Thursday - Jennifer, BBQ Friday - Teresa, Taco Soup and Cornbread Saturday - Sue, lasagna Yes, there is a fridge in the kitchen, large and small coffee pot, stove, no dishwasher. They will bring whatever we need from their big kitchen if we ask. We will have to make sure kitchen is clean and fridge is empty when we leave, so let's not over buy. - Not gonna worry about snack table, it is always full, (Sue, lots of Chex Crack please) - Gift, one nice one - No quilt show. - LRC - Since games will go quickly with only 6 of us, charms 10 per game, (30 batiks, 30 darks) - Will make reservation for next year, I like Holston, too. Yay, I'm getting excited....See MoreWandering Stitchers Retreat reservations.
Comments (26)Only a month away now and 3 months since my knee replacement. I'd hoped rehab would be further along but guess I just have a very active inflammatory system. Still struggling with swelling in knee and ankle making bending and walking gait not great, despite pt and exercises on own and even some elevation/icing on occasion. A 6-day treatment with methyl prednisolone last week worked well but don't know how long it'll last (lowest dosage usually prescribed). All this is to say that I don't feel confident enough that I'll be ready to travel to the retreat this year. Likely will be having second knee replaced in a few months. Hope that I'll be able to come next year. Looking forward to photos and reading about this year's fun....See MoreWandering Stitchers' Retreats
