URGENT opinions needed for wall color

My husband has hired a painter coming THIS week 😱 and I need IMMEDIATE help 🙏🏼 choosing interior paint colors. Floors are mostly terra-cotta tile. I loathe the floors (terra-cotta & the color of the wood). We’ll be sanding and re-staining wood (which will be the next question: color for wood🤔) but the tile is staying for awhile.😏 Dark brown leather sofa/loveseat combo are going soon, too.

IMO wait until the furniture is chosen before choosing wall color. IMo I would use the money for the paint job to change out the flooring to all one wood .That terra cottan and pattered tile need to be gone and now is the perfect time since you are redoing the floors get unfinished in the same wood and do all the floors at the same time.

You've told us what you hate. But what do you like? Hard to suggest paint colours when we don't know your taste.

We're I you, I'd cancel the painter for now. Paint is the last choice.
- Get your floors how you want them.
- Make sure your lighting isn't too yellow (unless you prefer it that way) so that your colours will be true both in the daytime and at night.
- If you're going to replace area rugs, do that. The colours you choose there will have a huge influence on what paint colour to choose

We got Eagle Windows and were able to get our grilles between the glass with one color on the outside and a different color on the inside. Maybe this is an option with Marvin?

I like the Ralph Lauren colors at Home Depot. If you're nervous about color, try something more neutral. HD has a lot of the RL colors in sample packs at the stores so you can paint a splotch on the wall. If you have time, you can order any color as a sample from the RL website. But don't feel like you HAVE to rush and make this urgent! Nothing wrong with just having bare walls for a few more days til you are content with your choice. Good luck!

Ooh, i don't usually like granite, but that granite, with that vanity and those floors...fabulous! You have good taste! Sorry that ganite didn't work! Your inspiration photo has white solid surface counter of some kind...could be silestone, or corian. I think that would look good too if you went just a little warmer than white white. You say you've got white tiles in the shower so white countertops could work? Looks like you've used a lightish gray grout on the floor, and I think that color of grey for the walls could be really nice. I'm not very good at recommending specific paint colors, but, I know that many folks that have selected grey rave about Ellen Kennon's Gustavian grey. You can try searching for Ellen Kennon on the web and learn more about her full spectrum paint. I think she has some rooms that have been painted Gustavian Grey on her site. Ellen also offer free color consultatin via phone, if you buy her paint. Keep us posted and thanks for the pics!

Thanks for the info! Our test door came with just the cup hole drilled, but it was exactly where I had specified. I talked to Lowell (I hope I have his name right!), and he told me they could do the IKEA pattern, but just send him the template and a digital photo. I'm pretty sure we will go with Advantage. Their pricepoint is the lowest I've found. And I have checked probably 50 different suppliers. I had a line on another company, and their prices jumped from my original estimate, and now I see they don't even put their prices on their site; they want a quote request filled out. They are claiming the "lowest" prices, but I am skeptical. In going with Advantage, do you think I should add another 1/16th to my measurements? I read that they have an allowance of 1/8" either way on their doors, which could be concerning if they are short. Hmmm. Food for thought. I'm looking forward to your full pictoral spread! :^)

There is a lot going on - flooring, moldIng, pillars, etc. I’d paint out all the molding for a less busy feel and suggest a creamy white For the whole space
