See if your local nursery/hardware store has any fertilisers that are Iron based. The most used ones are Iron Chelate (rather expensive but reacts immediately in the soil), Iron Sulphate (which will take a bit of time to react in the soil to be available) available. The addition of Iron into the soil locks up Phosphorous and makes it unavailable to the plant roots. Iron Chelate would be the best in this situation if you can get it. It is sometimes used on Rhododendrons etc. so if you ring around you should be able to find some. Just water it on according to the directions. You may have to make a few applications of Iron Chelate over a few months.

It's desperate for more light & that soil is far too water retentive. I'd get a bag of perlite or pumice & mix it equal parts w/that soil (50/50 each). Pls go to the Cactus & Succulent Forum nearby (see top of page) & read up on Aloes, them needing a lot of light, fast draining mixes (soils), etc. Also plant it higher up in the pot pls. after improving the mix. Don't water often (not more than every 10 days or so). Sorry to say it will not improve w/out more light & corrected soil. Expose it to more light gradually. What's that stick or branch or woody stem?

Is it a yucca elephantipes? never water until you see new growth after re potting anything. They share the same growing conditions as succulents in the north. watering in winter once or twice a month. They need lots and lots of light, south-west facing window is best. Anything less they will struggle. Yes as mentioned photos will help.
