please list all marble look countertops
Comments (28)I just wanted to follow up on the countertop I chose. I loved the look of shiny white marble but knew that our family would ruin it. I ordered a sample of okite, as I mentioned above, and the veining was very green. I happened to see another sample at Ikea that had no green veining. I asked whether I could see a full slab and they told me the name of the company that supplied Ikea's product. I went to their plant and asked to see the slabs. For some reason, they did not want to show quartzite slabs, but only wanted to show granite slabs. It must have something to do with the commission. When I insisted, they let me see the slabs. Some had green veining, some had a lot of black veining but some had a very white background and a small amount of black veining, just like marble. I chose the slab and they were installed about 9 months ago. I LOVE THEM. They are stain-proof, etch-proof and beautiful. The veining does not look as authentic as marble, but it is close enough for me. I will post a picture later (my kids took my camera) Thought you might want to know to look for Zodiaq/Okite Bianco Carrera...See MoreDoes anyone have pics of painted Island with stained perimeter?
Comments (18)I struggled with this exact same dilema. Most of the two tone kitchens have light perimeter and dark island. The style of my house and surrounding furniture does not really support the look of so much light cabinetry. But I also didn't want an all dark cabinet kitchen. I began searching desperately for pictures in magazines and as I looked I began to find a few and they were beautiful! Then Sharon1 posted pictures of her kitchen and she had the exact same color scheme I had just ordered and I thought it was gorgeous! It was a huge load off my back. My perimeter is a dark stain rustic beech and my island is a creamy glaze. I haven't picked countertops yet - I don't know what I want to do yet. I think the reason you see my light perimeters is that it keeps the kitchen light and airy and a dark island looks more like a piece of furniture. Flipping it is less common, but it is still beautiful. I wish I had pictures, but I'm a DIY project under construction! :-) I also searched for Sharon1 and all her pictures fell of the forum, which is a bummer. I couldn't find her in the FKB either - she must not have posted there. I'm sorry to not be more help visually. But hopefully I've reassured you that many of us have done the very color scheme you are considering!...See MoreAnyone Used Marble.com (All Granite & Marble Corp) in NJ?
Comments (38)SHOP ANY WHERE ELSE. Marble.com is an awful place. And, getting your countertops is a really momentous and joyous occasion, don't let this company ruin the experience for you. They are neither fast nor cheap. First off, they are dishonest, they will give you one quote up front and another charge when you're stuck with them. Secondly, there is one representative in particular "Matt" who is unprofessional, incredibly aggressive, and has no sense of ethics. He is who you will deal with the moment the company messes up some aspect of your order or if you have a question. In our case, we went to their NJ location and looked at the marble slabs (they have a good selection of slabs, but so does any other quarry and you can always get your sample from here and take it to a reputable marble provider). We selected our stone, received a quote and agreed. The company sent over someone to measure our counter needs (who was professional). After we paid our deposit we were told that the stone we selected was actually in their "gold" line now and the price we were quoted was readjusted by an additional $4k. You can imagine how the situation progressed from there. In our case, "Matt" (who we were not initially working with) took over and advised that there was a telephone recorded conversation documenting our quoted price. When we asked for the audio file of this alleged conversation we were emailed a blank .wav file. When we asked to communicate with a supervisor or the staff member we had initially started this process with we were told by Matt, "No, you communicate with me, I am not putting you through to anyone else." This was not an experience unique to us. I wish I had read their reviews before ever engaging with this company. Moral of the story, trust all of the other homeowners who have made the mistake of working with Marble.com and save yourself the headache, especially on such a fun part of the dream kitchen journey....See MoreMont Blanc Quartzite or Marble? Anyone Have This Countertop?
Comments (8)I did not see the original posting, but neither photo looks like what is called Mont Blanc in my area. I purchased three slabs of Mont Blanc quartzite in Anaheim, southern California. This is a stone that is quarried in Brazil and looks similar to Perla Veneta. I had considered White Macaubus, which is more white, but decided I wanted to go with a warmer color. ....See Morepattyjoseffer
