Oh boy, I know what you mean. We had to decide this really early, because the power comes through the slab, so the floor receptacle outlet was "final" very early in the game. We did what others have recommended and now that we have furniture in the room, it seems like we got it right. But then when we get a rug, the cord will have to go across it a short distance and then down. I think it will be under the couch or end table at that point, and I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it's one of those stressful things, so I sympathize.

There would be enough space on that wall. My concerns were placing the sofa against the windows. Since the windows are very low (Down to about 1' to the ground), a 37" high sofa would block 2 feet of window height. Depending on how far into the room the sofa is, that would take 2' off of 2-4 windows. (The window location in the render is not 100% accurate, but if you look at the picture, it'll likely cover all 4 windows) In addition, those windows go to the backyard, which we would get afternoon & evening sun from. We were concerned about having a lot of glare from the sun if we put the TV opposite of the windows.

The sofa seems like odd man out in styling here. Agree with groveraxle, a rug would be very helpful. For a modern look, remove at least 50% of the miscellaneous items on the TV floating console and mantel and end tables. I see a bar cart over in the corner and perhaps a piece of art? Seems like a bad spot for that. Can it be moved to another room, like a dining room or eating area? Perhaps some soft color in a rug would be a nice addition. Then it would be really nice to replace that sofa for something lower and sleeker. If not now, plan for it in the future. Or get a lighters slip cover so it blends in more at least.

I can't judge the spacing from your photos. if you did a sofa like this under the front window, had the tv over the fp, or, even have it mounted to that opposite wall w/a slender console under it, a few comfy chairs like shown, would this work? ignore the built ins. Look at Article for leather sofa. I have their Sven in the black leather and it's really nice. comes in diff leather colors, and different velvet or fabric options this one is mine w/their bench and walnut chair, leather pouf, and I refinished the vintage Brasilia console. Both of the art pieces are collectable prints from known artists/photographers. I like the idea of doing a walnut console on that one wall across from FP. whether or not you mount a tv or art is up to you. if you do some art, then get something this size. you say you have your plants, use them! you have a great spot by the front window. I have a fiddle leaf in my other room and that thing won't stop growing. it's so tall and huge, it's a good thing I have vaulted ceilings! IF you do the sofas that face each other, you can still put the tv on that wall, and do art over the fireplace. You see how they have the space over by the window? I don't know how much you would have, but you could set it up like this^. IF you have more room over there, do a small side table, two small chairs, some plants, and have a little sitting spot. or set up a little play area w/a bench under the window to hide toys.
