Appears to be lavender, so not exactly a groundcover :-)

I haven't used a leaf rake in years for raking leaves. Even though I'm up on a bluff I don't get much wind because of the tall trees all around me. There are no trees with large leaves in my garden and the groundcovers are vigorous and tall enough to eat all the small leaves that fall. My lawn takes up less area than a two car garage. Low maintenance is a priority for me.

It's a gazania. Not really a groundcover - it doesn't spread very much - but just a low growing tender perennial (only winter hardy in zone 9 and above).
