The pics came through now. Both sets. Seems like they get stuck somewhere in cyberspace sometimes and take a while to show up. It is very hard to see the layout and possibilities available to you with all the stuff around. Spend time in removing the clutter first. Remove it from everywhere including all the horizontal and vertical surfaces. Once that is done, it will be easier to see where your furniture should go to maximize the breezes.

I don't mind the table and mirror and can't really think of anything besides art that would fit on that wall. Can't see the table details well but could it be painted? How about red to match your lovely door? What would say "fresh and cozy" to you for that space? Have you thought of a new light fixture? A runner and a larger rug in the entrance could look good. I don't find the clock visible from the door to be welcoming so I'd be tempted to remove it.

Honestly, don’t waste your time and money on this apartment. Anything you add will be on your $ and with 3 dogs and a temporary room mate, I wouldn’t invest in anything.

Two things that are not directly related to your question. I would remove the shutters. I think they detract from the appeal of the house. The row of bushes look like a barrier. Can you soften them by adding rows of other plants? Add some flowering bushes, perennials, and seasonal annuals. You could do a patio of sorts using Belgian block in the entry area. Do you have enough room for a pergola? A port cochere? Something like this, but not as modern.
