And her actions speak louder that she's not over him. We get that feeling in the pit of our stomachs when something isn't quite right and I'm only trying to be realistic. If you came here to get reassurance or support, I can offer support but not reassurance. I said, "if it were me". When I was dating, if I thought the guy had ANY feelings for his ex (the mother of his children), that was a big red flag. If she might have felt the same and their family might have had a chance to reconcile, I would support that first. My happiness was not going to be at the expense of a family. If there is no saving that relationship, then by all means, I would go forward. But expect it to be a rough road and it's easy in the beginning to think everything is wonderful, but there are going to be problems and that's normal. If you do move forward, I would suggest learning about step families through books or classes so you know what to expect. This is a good forum to get some opinions but every situation is different and the key is making your situation work. Good luck. Comments (42)I live in NYC and had been staying in my apartment up until a few days ago when I finally ventured out to get some fresh air and walk through a park near my apt. I was surprised to see many people without masks. Even tonight, after Cuomo said people must wear masks if they can't socially distance themselves, I saw people without masks. There is no way to socially distance yourself in the city. I'm wearing a mask but my glasses fog up. IDK how to solve that problem. But to answer the question, I was going out onto my fire escape for fresh air before this and there are many more birds in the area behind my building. I was thrilled to see cardinals, bluejays and robins. Before I lived in the city I was a backyard birdwatcher, so this made me very happy. They are probably always there, but with the new silence in the city they are more noticeable, you can hear them singing. I had a sparrow peeking in my window checking out my parakeet the other day, so funny! More creatures are comfortable coming out in the city with less people around. This is Riverside Park. Before this, the raccoons would just peek their heads out of those stones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhLitqe60Jw...See MoreA Delicious (IMO!) New Salmon Dish I Discovered and Wanted to Share
Comments (54)Somewhat off topic, but hubs tried to broil the walleye on the new toaster oven he got for us, and it didn't work right. Sigh. I think we will have to take it back. The heating elements do not heat up properly . . . No wonder it was on sale. Last time he got an Instapot at the same store, (also on sale) we had to take that back too, the locking mechanism was broken. Double sigh. Luckily on the Instapot the replacement works well and we use it all the time . . ....See Moredjacob Z6a SE WI
