Once you get powdery mildew, how do fix the soil for next?
Comments (7)I know the answer to this!!!! I am soooo excited!!!!! :D :D :D Ok, milk. You want to dilute the milk so it is about 10-20% of what you have, definitely less than 30% or it will make something else bad that you don't want to happen happen, and spray it on every week or two (don't do it too often or the plants will be unhappy), and this will prevent a lot of powdery mildew. It is more of a preventative measure but you can try it if you see just a little, well, you might as well try it when you see a lot, but it's better to start before you see it at all. This is probably the only answer I will ever know, thank you so much :D...See MoreMaps - how do new roads and errors get fixed
Comments (8)Sometimes new roads never get put on the maps. One time while working in Pensacola,Fla I got a service call and the dispatcher told me it was a small street off of 9 mile rd just east of K-mart. I drove up and down that section of road about three times and could not locate the side street I was looking for. Finally I stopped at a little store and called the customer to inform them I couldn't find their street. The asked where I was then she laughed and said, "sit tight, i'll be right with you." About 5 minutes later a lady walked up to my pickup and asked if I was the one looking for her street? I said yes and she says, "You see that house with the back of the house facing the parking lot here? Thats my house." Then she says, "You go ahead and drive over and I will grab a couple things here at the store and meet you in about 5 minutes". I pulled back out on the road and went about 100yds, then turned down a super long driveway which had an L shape at the end and her house faced the driveway. Thats odd I thought, but its no skin off my nose if ppl want there house to face the driveway. While working on her water heater the lady told me that the builder had originally intended to build a whole development there so they put the road way in and began selling lots. She and her husband had bought the first lot and had their house built but in the mean time the builder had went to prison so they never completed any more houses. Then she told me that when they originally laid out the development the roadway into the development had been deeded to the county as public thoroughfare for the project and in fact the only portion she actually owned was the short L section from her driveway to the long roadway. She said that she and her hubby had made an agreement with the post office to put there mailbox on 9mile road so the postman wouldn't have to pull in and turn around for just one house then she said the county had been trying for years to convince her and her hubby to take possession of the roadway as their driveway, but the had repeatedly refused. I asked why they would refuse and she says, simple, as long as its a county right of way the county has to pave it and maintain it ..LOL...See MoreHow do I get emails sent to me? How do I get followups sent to me?
Comments (0)Getting Emails Sent To You...3-step Process There are three things you have to do to get emails sent to you when someone posts to a thread you started: Be sure you have a valid/current email address in your profile Again in your profile, be sure you have the "Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site." box checked (at the bottom of the profile page) Be sure to check the box labeled "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you" when you submit your post. (Below the "Message" box) Hmmm...maybe a 4th step...don't forget to "Save Your Member Profile" when you make changes! (button at bottom of profile page) If you do all 3 (or 4!) things, you should get an email when someone posts to your message. Note: Some members have said they still have problems getting emails. I seem to always get emails, but I have noticed that occasionally there will be a several hour delay and once there was a several day delay...I don't know why. Also, check your Junk Mail, sometimes the emails end up there. Add "gardenweb_user@gardenweb.com" to your "safe senders" list as well. If you still don't get emails, check with your internet service provider and be sure emails from GW are not being filtered out as junk before they get to you....See MoreWhat is this and how do I fix it ?
Comments (4)They are called metal soffit coverings. They cover your old soffits and some are solid ribbed metal, and some are perforated metal. The perforated metal lets the soffit holes in your eves take in air flow. They are on a rail, and most generally, you can snap them back in place. Is yours damaged? If not, you just need to go back up and snap it back in. If you saw a critter in there, most likely, it has already taken up residence, and you may want to call an exterminator, before it eats your wiring, and anything else it finds up there. The open vents were one time covered with a vent cover, and then someone decided they didnt want to bother with the painting etc, so they covered over it all. I have the same thing here. They do come in different widths, if you need to replace, rather than snap back in....See Morekathyg_in_mi
