Help! I thought I had more time to fine-tune my selections on bathroom paint, but painter is coming in 3 days! Here are the tiles I'm using: the white will be the floor, the grey will be the shower walls, the pebble (darker one) will be the shower floor. In the second photo, the color is kind of off, but there are the floor and shower tiles again, and my granite for the countertops. I will also have a little white claw-foot slipper tub. I really have wanted Sea Salt on the walls for awhile. Thought I wanted to do the cabinetry in grey, then thought white, now not sure! My worry is that, with all the white floor tile, and the soft color of Sea Salt, that white cabinets will be too stark. I want the bathroom to be calm and soothing, not washed out. Plus, I might like to draw the grey from the shower into the cabinets. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice grey that would look good with these tiles and the Sea Salt walls? I went to Sherwin Williams today looking for white, and found Eider White, which looks grey. But is it grey enough?! Hoo boy. I'm really seeing how a designer earns his/her money! Doing this by myself is hard.....I am constantly amazed at the little (curse word) (curse word) decisions I'm having to make! Thanks in advance for any help. I know you guys on this forum are the most amazing, and I have gotten so much information from here.

I beg to differ the gray floors are fine with MCM but the espresso cabinets IMO don’t work at all. I would look into having them painted since I find most espresso cabinets are some god knows what wood underneath and a lot from China so paint would be my choice.

Oh, FYI...I'm currently re-doing my kitchen, and I'm having my cabinet doors made by Scherr's. Their door prices are very reasonable, IMO (less than Semihandmade, I'm pretty sure), and they will finish the doors in any Sherwin-Williams color you choose (as well as doing any door/drawer front in any size). I'm finishing mine myself, because I'm on a rather tight budget, but it's something to look into. You could add brighter-colored doors here and there if you want, or maybe have your peninsula doors be a different color, if you're worried about too much gray and white. I'm doing IKEA cabinets, and Scherr's is making me doors that look just like the Hittarp door (with grooves up and down the entire surface, no raised frame around them). Hittarp comes in off-white, so this way I can do white doors, and I built a shelf peninsula that's painted in S-W's "Oceanside." My toekicks will also be Oceanside, for a bit of fun and color in all the white. Orange is my accessory color--all of my countertop accessories (utensil holder, coffee crock, sugar bowl, knife holder) are Le Creuset's "Volcanic." I just haven't decided yet if I want butcher block countertops or black or white (or some other color, hee; I could paint laminate any shade and then seal with polyurethane or acrylic. I did that in a previous kitchen: the walls were pale spring green, the cabinets white with bright yellow doors, and I painted the old [1960s] laminate countertop a cool blue-gray and sealed with several coats of clear polyurethane. It looked awesome, especially with pale wood flooring throughout.) I hope that helps! Your kitchen looks gorgeous so far!

Claire is correct that there is no rule saying that you need to use just the one color and there are colors that work well with Agreeable Gray. The reason that I suggested using Agreeable Gray wasn't that there are not other choices, but because you have two spaces that are not currently speaking to one another. The only commonality between the two rooms is the cabinet color and countertop color. If you had the same flooring running throughout the space I may not feel as strongly about keeping the wall color the same, but you don't. Using the same wall color and possibly using some of the Kindle Gray will make the two spaces feel like they belong in the same home. All too often I find that people have picked colors one room at a time and end up with something that feels disjointed. I don't do color one room at a time - I always plan a whole home color palette and work from there. Usually I choose one neutral and might do a lighter and darker version of the neutral, and then add color to my neutral spaces and use those same colors as wall color in an adjoining bedroom or bathroom.
