Help needed figuring out furniture placement in spare living room
Comments (5)It does look like the room where leftover furniture goes because it doesn't play well with others. The china cabinet could be a good focal point as JudyG suggests, but only if you have something to go inside it that's worth looking at. Otherwise, lose the loveseat and put the china cabinet on that wall. Fill it with books, if nothing else. Alternatively, lose the china cabinet and keep all the seating. Add art above the sofa and loveseat, a rug and curtains, and call it done till you're ready to decide how you actually want to use the space....See Morehelp with the furniture placement is needed, pass through living room
Comments (19)Hello Alexey, Once the house has been built and you are able to stand you living room It will be easier for you to see what will or will not work for you. Especially since you are still fine tuning various aspects in the room such as window size, etc. Thank you for the updates. That helped. Please know that the furniture placement is the only thing that is being presented NOT the style or colors in the room. we put a piano in the room in place of your electric piano. We don't have one in our selections. There is enough seating for 10 folks with the padded stools around the room. there are two book cases. One on opposite sides of the room, as you can see, this was intended to give you a "play area" for your little one that includes the open space in front of the piano. We put 4 chairs in the sitting area but you can easily move them around the room to another location or omit 2 of them and pull extra seating from the dining room table when you more guests. Hope this helps. Best Wishes with the construction of your new home and congratulations. We wish you many happy memories to come in your new home. Comments (11)To try to answer your questions...two armchairs facing away from a room's entrance do not block anything visually. Try this: Leave the blue chairs where they are. The sofaback facing the big wall and the square stools in front of the windows and the entertainment console will be right there under the windows so you can sit and access it. As a hangout/music room there will be clutter with all the gear. Get a large coffee table with lots of storage. Get your bookcase with storage doors. Your guitars and ukes can hang on a wall next to the key board. I think you're okay if you still want to revisit that concept. This is a concept rendering and not to scale. I included the keyboard in the upper left and bookcase lower right. The windows are the blue line at the top and the console and speakers with it. Comments (3)Turn your sofa to face the TV/fireplace. You may not have any space between the wall and arm of your sofa. Maybe get a narrow table for behind the sofa for lamps. If you get a new sofa, don't do crazy oversized -- 84" is plenty long (I bought a 3-seater that's less than 72"!). Place your loveseat where they had theirs, next to the sliding doors. You now have L-seating great for conversations, and TV. I would suggest a sofa or loveseat with 2 chairs or one larger chair & ottoman if you purchase new instead of a sofa AND loveseat. And don't buy a sectional! If you could get dimensions of the space and your furniture, and photos of your furniture, that would be helpful. Their set-up looked great, though I don't understand the sofa placement unless sizing was an issue....See Morekiffkat
