Ok, so as for the stone bleeding through, that's not going to happen w/the right product.

Romabio is a natural mineral product. you can go to their website and see all of the photos and what it does.

if you do the Classico lime wash, you can choose quite a few colors that will work w/the stucco

I think doing a lime wash on the stone would give you the look you want. And the good part? if you don't like it, you have up to 72 hours to hose it off! Grab a sample and try a small section

thank you. I have spoken to them and ordered some of the product. They indicated that the limewash will continue to patina over time. I want to get away from the orange and dark brown.

the patine just means it will age naturally. it doesn't mean it will allow the underlying colors to seep through. it's a natural clay base, so it will prob darken over time.

I don't mind the stone but if you feel the Roma Bio finish truly won't work, and seeing as they are kinda the only skin in the game when it comes to refinishing stone with a paint like finish, I would pull the stone off and have the areas stuccoed like the rest of your home and paint all stucco the same color. In this case I would do it a warm white. It would make your bronze windows pop.

Ben Moore Simply White, Ben Moore Swiss Coffee, Ben Moore Cloud White. Porter Paints Atrium White. For something creamier try Sherwin Williams Alabaster, Sherwin Williamns Oyster White or Sherwin Williams Natural Choice. I am guessing you are either in CA or FL based on the architecture. The sunshine is definitely going to effect how it reads. If You are in CA then 3 Dunn Edwards paint colors I would try are Vanilla Shake, Whisper and Milk Glass

I'm in Omaha....what would you say to a masonry paint that I can tint to look like the stucco paint we use?

I think if you are going to do anything to the stone a wash is the best bet. Some character needs to show through or it is really going to look like you did exactly what you're talking about and painted stone. If it were brick that might be a different story but stone IMO just isnt something you paint.

If you went with the Masonry Textured, it won't completely take away the texture of the stone, but will blend it in to create a cohesive look with the rest of your stucco exterior. The Masonry Flat would work nicely if you are just wanting uniformity with color. I don't recommend the Limewash, because the effect you would achieve would be close to what you already have - a monochromatic stone with those dark accents. It would only mute those colors, but not completely take them away.

If you go with Masonry Flat or textured, that would be the best option for a solid look. You can get the Masonry products tinted to whichever color you like as well. We do recommend the Benjamin Moore color family as those are the most true to color with our products.

the masonry gives more of an even coverage. what they're saying about the lime wash is it basically 'washes' it, but still allows for the darker stones to come through. Think of a sheer curtain as opposed to more of a solid curtain.
