Some more from my garden May 29
Comments (6)Thanks, Alexa!! I will probably wind up getting it, mostly because the little girl next door is named 'Savannah'! Someone has offered me a piece of the hosta named 'Savannah' to give to her and I'd like to have the 'supreme version' as well, to have in memory of her and to share with her later on when she is older and TOTALLY obsessed with hosta, herself. I'll keep it on my list--for next year--since you recommended it as one nice to have in the garden. I'd love to have a fertile streaker of some kind--but that will have to be next year or the year after, when I feel that the only hosta to buy is one to replace something else, since I am REALLY running out of space!! I've been eyeing 'Galaxy' as the one to consider getting--it IS supposed to be fertile, right? Is it wrong to entice a 10-yr. old to love hosta like WE DO??? I guess there are worse things for her to become addicted to, right?...See MoreMore pics from my gardens (pic heavy)
Comments (24)I know what you mean about staying away from the hosta forum when my hostas are still hiding. It usually just make me even more sad to see hostas up and about when I know mine are usually at least a month behind. I think I suffer from hosta depression during the winter;) Atlantis has been a very fast growing hosta for me. It's in the Abba Dabba family, which for the most part are fast growing. Comments (7)Thanks everyone! I love my Bishop Darlington, the flowers are so charming and he does very well in my partly shady garden. Tammy - This is the biggest flush I've ever had from my Jerri Jennnings, she is three years old this spring and I can tell she's only going to get better with time. Have a rosy day!...See MoreMore blooms from my garden
Comments (7)Thank you Jim, Pelicanhead, Harold, Carol, Florence and Iris Gal. Iris, I don't know if Desert Willow grows in Virginia. I bought mine from High Country Gardens after I saw their beautiful pictures and read the description. I have two of them since last year, but I overwintered them in the garage. This year they are in the ground and I am really worried about how they survive the winter. It will be a shame to lose them. They make such a beautiful lacy trees and they bloom all summer. Hummingbirds love this tree. Marina...See Moremichaelspokane
