Wallpaper in a Boring Hallway: Yay or Nay?
Comments (19)I don't know what that is at the end of the hallway (first picture) but it's partly mirror. You can see the reflection of the light fixtures and some wallpaper at the top and the floor towards the bottom. Weird. I love wallpaper and glad to see it making a come-back. We have no hallways in our house but if we did, I wouldn't be opposed to wallpapering it. It would have to be a lighter color and more of a tone on tone. Love the grayish beige paper with the oak floor. Several years ago (2004) we redid our daughter's bedroom. One wall had wallpaper on it. The 70something year old texture guy said he could probably just texture over the wallpaper :o What??? After he inspected it he said not to bother trying to remove it, he could go over it. I don't know how much I had gotten off. Maybe all the top decorative layer (the easy part). Well he went right over it and NO one but NO one can tell there is wallpaper under that texture. No issues what so ever and it's been 12 years....See MoreLooking for wallpaper ideas for this black bedroom suite from RH
Comments (12)https://www.houzz.com/products/gleam-modern-wallpaper-beige-prvw-vr~63155039 It comes in 5 shades-silver,ivory,gray,purple and beige... Overall the Romosa Line of wallpaper has many interesting patterns to consider, including reclaimed lumber, birch trees, stonewall, bricks&mortar, and others. Enjoy looking. The silver, Ivory, Gray, Beige, tones in this pattern would likely reflect the other tones in the room and one would not get weary of looking at it. But the other patterns may create new ideas not considered before?...See MoreRe Wallpaper: How many walls are recommended to wallpaper in a laundry
Comments (16)if you like the paper then all walls. I just did all 4 walls in a small powder room 3 x 7. I added crown and painted ceiling and crown semi gloss white vs flat white (the ceiling was smooth so it could handle the gloss. It really brightens and just gives the room a wow factor. I love wallpaper and 20 years ago pretty much had it in all rooms LOL. Now just the small bath. I am thinkin about doing a wall in my kitchen. My sons came home and saw the bath and ask me if I was going to paper everything again LOL. They were giving me ideas. They are in their 20s almost 30 now. It actually makes them feel comfortable happy. It reminds them of their childhood. :)...See MoreWill wallpaper/color in hallway look disjointed?
Comments (9)Continue the living room wainscoting into the hall. Wallpaper above...go brown because the eye also sees the brown cabinets. Move the 1930 ish china cabinet to another spot...not near the back hall. I am a Thibaut fan, and this scale will work with the wainscoting pattern....See MoreRelated Professionals
