GE over-the-stove microwave light/night light
Comments (0)We have a GE microwave (over the stove type), model number JVM1660WB005. I bought the unit new 7 years ago, it was used for 3 years and has been in storage the past 4 years. We installed the unit in our new-to-us home and when I turned on the light/night light the bulb "popped" (didn't break the bulb but sounded like a small explosion) and it broke the glass cover on the side that "popped." I couldn't unscrew the bulbs so I had to break the bulb off the base and then I used needle nose pliers to remove the base of the bulbs. Two small pieces of the black holder for the light bulb broke off both holders. I replaced both bulbs but the lights don't work. I ordered replacement lamp holders and just installed those and the light(s) still don't work. What should I do next? The light/night light feature of this microwave is one of my favorite features. Thanks!...See MoreNEC 300.3(B) and bath fan/light/night light or heater
Comments (4)What he is saying is if you run a 14/3 for instance and use all three wires as hots. The run a separate 14/2 for the neutral. That IS a violation. It is not a violation if you keep the neutral separate in the fan unit. IE: Run a 14/3 to the light and night light and share the neutral. Then run a 14/2 to wire the fan separately using the white and black. It's all in how you wire it, not in how you feed it. In any case, 14/4, or 14/2/2,and the same in #12 is available at a real supply house. Even most home centers carry several forms of this "4-wire" cable....See MoreVintage Camera turned Night Light
Comments (16)Thank you all. Emmarene, I saw it on Pinterest, though I didn't follow their directions as I already had a night light on a switched cord so I just did it. Mustangs, I wish I could claim the idea. Awm, the above camera is a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye, I other shown to the right is a Kodak Duraflex II, next to it, but out the picture is an Argus 50mm. I'm hoping I have my Mom's Kodak 35mm and Dad's Movie camera in one of the containers I have with their things in the basement, but I've yet to take the time to go through all of them. Each time I do I get so teary that I have to stop. My folks also had a Brownie. If I remember correctly. It had the top that opened up to take the picture, so it could have been a Duraflex. I'll have to see if my older sister can remember. A friend told me about trend called TTV or through the lens, photography, where you us a digital camera rigged to take pictures through old cameras. I'm going to be trying that out soon....See MoreA view of night lights that once was clothed in nature
