Shaw solid hardwood - quality issues like their engineered hardwood?

I posted on here a few days ago about trying to pick between Shaw engineered hardwood and laminate (from either Beauflor or Shaw) for our new home build. We’ve read horrible reviews about Shaw engineered hardwood so we were leaning towards laminate (5-inch; we would probably go with Beauflor). However, I just found out that our builder offers Shaw real hardwood (of course it’s an upgrade and it’s only 2 1/4-inch wide planks). Does anyone have experience or feedback about Shaw real hardwood? After reading the reviews about their engineered flooring and seeing info about class action lawsuits, I’m hesitate to purchase any of their products, but would love to hear directly from those who have.

Also interested in feedback about laminate floors from those who have them. I hadn’t really considered them before, but have heard their durable and i love the look of the wider plan, especially for large areas. We will be putting the flooring on our entire downstairs level (about 1600 sq feet), as well as in the upstairs hallway and loft area. Thank you!
