Can penetrating sealer fix a bad new grout installation?
Comments (7)Actually, whether you're supposed to do it or not, a penetrating sealer called "Pourous Plus 511 by Miracle Sealants" could help in a situation like that. I have seen that actually seal it and stop the grout from coming up in the same type high desert situation where before that, every time the grout was wet, it was dissolving in the water and coming up. Another good water based sealer was tried before and it didn't do anything to help that particular situation but perhaps because the Porous Plus contains petroleum products, it was able to go in and really set and seal everything well with no problems and without having to regrout. Comments (3)Paint stores and manufacturers have liability insurance. I would file a claim especially since the store said that it was from a 'bad' batch. You should have the paint manufacturer redo the stairs. Ask your attorney. I belong to Pre-paid Legal. That's what I would check into first. Other than that, you will have to refinish the stairs with paint remover and do the whole process of refinishing them. Otherwise they may always 'bug' you. Comments (4)Awful! See if the vet or any books can suggest a supplement to prevent the urinary blockage from happening again. It happened to our male cat once in Japan and they gave me some white powder to put in his food. Wet foods are preferable to dry, if he'll eat them. At any rate, there are foods, at least the dry ones (which one of our cats insists on), that have on the package that they are good for avoiding urinary problems. Did the cat have to be operated on? $800 seems awfully high to me for a mere catheterization and one night in the hospital. Though I have to admit we have in total spent a couple thousand on one of our cats, what with stomach problems and operations to remove mast cell tumors. You might want to post on the GW pets forum and see what experiences others have had with problems like your daughter's cat's. Some of the people there are very knowledgeable. Hoping things will get better for you soon. Here is a link that might be useful: Pet forum...See Morefixed frame vinyl for shower stall; prudent choice or mistake?
Comments (7)re: windows on Washington sounds reasonable to me. im not familiar enough with the materials used in the cranks and mechanical linkages... i assume they are powder coated or other wise painted in some manner? this is a huge long shot... but you ever hear of water resistant hardware? glass fiber reinforced plastics or SS? i cold conceivably have them powder coated, or enamel coat them myself inside my oven... too much work i know... just thinking out loud here. appreciate the feed back WoW. re todinmn: this is a Houston home. should have mentioned that earlier. i made a mistake in stating 60" its actually 47-48" from the floor. 60" was from another window measurement. there is 0 chance i could raise it up that far. i have enough brick for maby 3 courses. ive never tried to find matching bricks for sale though... nor have i researched other options. i admit to being ignorant as to the cost add on for tempered glass... what would you estimate? any ball park figure wold be appreciated here. regarding the general project: gong to start calling the window places next week. the big suppliers in my area is through ABC building supplies and the big boxes. Im assuming i should not even bother with the home depot only simonton Vantage Point windows?...See MoreBT
