Either paint the frame around the window to match the door or paint the whole door black. The sidelight should be all black.

The door and the plastic moulding need to be all one color. Why not a more fun color like turquoise? Sherwin Williams sells a special primer for plastics for that trim.

Wood[tone] door looks good with black. Paint the trim around new frosted glass to match door color; even if it's slightly darker it will blend.

Painting the glass trim black would be a mistake as it will stand out in a bad way.

I'd start by going to all the paint stores, plus Lowes, HDepot, etc., to get samples of stain colors and bring them home. Since the door trim is vinyl, stain will not be absorbed as it would be with wood, so choose a solid stain.

site I can collect paint swatches from all the stores, but it’s not necessarily 100%, and also it’s sooo small to compare with.

Right, you should Only stain the new glass Trim, not touching the door.

If you do a black trim around the door, you could always go for a gold door handle so it doesn't get lost in all the dark colors. Hope this helps and best of luck!
