We just purchased a home...it’s a raised ranch style on the exterior and the previous owners have everything super traditional and builder grade on the interior. We’re starting with replacing the floors since the carpets have reached the end of their lifecycle. We have pets so will be doing tile flooring throughout. I don’t like seeing more than two types of flooring in the house so the entire house will have the same tile except the bathrooms.

I can’t decide whether to do dark, medium tone, grey or ‘greige’ wood look tile. We found a tile that we liked because of the thickness and durability but now we are second guessing because it just looks too dark. I love the look of distressed and/or weathered wood but not sure how that would look in the entire house. Suggestions please. I included the picture of the tile we liked. In the store it looked slightly different than it does online. It’s a big investment and I’m hoping I don’t pick something I end up hating.
