Need help with paint color/window covering/decor/furniture ideas!
Comments (5)Okay, Rugknots is selling those things, but I think her advice is fine. See how lovely the picture above is. Too bad you already have a rug. Fun thing is the grey chair at the dining room table. To prevent it from becoming too predictable. How lovely is the view outside? I mean, is it over the top lovely so you have to see it all the time? Or could you place a not too big sectional in the current TV corner and place your TV on the opposite wall, where the brown couch is now? A chair diagonal like the brown one here, but closer to the sectional would allow for conversation. I'd keep the coffee table light and airy, like a glass one, since this space is not that big. Small end tables for some beautiful, but airy lamps. Perhaps an accent color (or two) in artwork, pillows, vases....See MoreLiving room furniture and decor ideas needed
Comments (3)Thank you for your tips. With the tree removed, the wall looks very bare. I was thinking of getting a picture or mirror right above the couch but it still leaves quite a bit of bare space between the rest of the wall and the end of the couch... Any suggestions on what I could put there to fill the space?...See Morefurniture layout and decorating ideas awkward E-I-Kitchen to living
Comments (2)What is your decor style? Are you keeping the wall color? What is your budget? The blank palette is actually a gift. You won't have to undo or make do with someone else's choices or mistakes. I would definitely put some large rugs on your list to help define your spaces. Properly hung curtain panels will also warm up the rooms and ground them. The kitchen lighting looks blah, I would definitely replace them. Keep in mind that the house is filled with warm tones so greys and cool colors, although popular, will be hard to work into the space....See MorePlease, need artwork, decor and furniture ideas needed please!
Comments (29)Judianna20, What a nice assumption you've made of someone you clearly don't know at all. I won't be as snarky as you to think ill of someone else's intentions. I might have the PRO distinction on my name but I am not looking for any customers or clients. Believe it or not, some of us enjoy helping and giving advice and have a passion for interior design, beyond the call of money. I have been a frequent Houzzer of many , many years before I became a PRO, so I am aware there are very rude people on here, but I didn't think anyone would stoop so low to judge my words and assume I am begging for clients. I am currently not taking clients and only here to help others, which is common for many Professionals on Houzz. Did you have any advice or suggestions to give OP? Or did you only intend on gatekeeping this thread out of your wrong assumptions that I'm looking for clients? If so perhaps you should give some advice to OP or report my comment if you feel so slighted. It is unfortunate this forum is for home advice but some people like to gatekeep. Sorry OP, if you're still even there, but I still stand by what I said, if you want help please let me know. I promise I won't ask for a dime from you, those aren't my intentions. I merely enjoy what I do. A little upsetting I have to even discuss this in the first place. Kind regards, Solid Form...See Moreabini25
