Wrong number of doors for a hutch cabinet what would you do
Comments (19)RMSAustin, I think it is very common to have two of these similar cabinets next two each other. Though these cabinets could be slightly wider than 24" inches. I think the issue of the doors damaging is true where ever you have two double doors cabinets next two each other correct? Why would this be different. Just trying to see if I am missing something. In regards to the ease of use the one door may be easier. Here is an picture from houzz that has 3 similar cabinets next two each other (those cabinets are inset but you get the idea) [Contemporary Kitchen[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/contemporary-kitchen-ideas-phbr1-bp~t_709~s_2103)...See MoreNeighboring home vacant with door ajar...what would you do?
Comments (13)Which door looked open, the glass door or the screen? We've been having a lot of wind here too, our sliding screen on the French door also moved. Since it was windy and the house is vacant, I'd be concerned but not sure I would call the cops. Someone probably looked at the house and forgot to lock everything up. If you know who is listing it, shoot them an email. I just did this with a house up the street, the sign was driven over & bent. Agent must have gotten my email because the sign was fixed within the next 2 days. Since the agent isn't local, you'd think he'd email to say thanks.....See MoreWhat trim color and garage door color would match with a black door?
Comments (2)There isn't enough room to add shutters to your windows and they wouldn't look right if there were enough room. Here is a brief article on shutters so you see why they won't work on those windows in that location of your home https://www.lifeofanarchitect.com/residential-architecture-101-shutters/ Also, the door style you have chosen with the large oval is not appropriate for your home's style. It's a Victorian window (that oval). I know it's seen everywhere, but it just isn't the right style to enhance your home. Are you wanting larger window/lite in your front door? Or are you planning to paint your current door black (a better solution)?...See MoreWhat would you do with these doors, that aren’t doors?
Comments (7)Those look like two different rooms — the floor is so glossy in the first and seems more matte in the second, the size looks completely different, and the paint color changes significantly. What color are the blind? They’re on all four windows, the large window pair and the French door set, correct? Are you keeping the stained wood trim everywhere? Actually it doesn’t look like you have enough room for the ‘stack’ in between the larger, shorter window pair without encroaching on the windows on each side. I don’t think that would help at all. What is your privacy like — do you need window coverings for anything other than sun protection?...See Moreeld6161
